Standing proudly on the Place du Casino, the beating heart of Monte-Carlo, the Café de Paris now has a new director. Stephane Tendero has taken the helm of the veritable institution. He succeeds Eric Gorjux, who held the director position at the Café de Paris since 2022.
With over 30 years of experience in management, Stephane Tendero’s career has given him experience in the fields of catering, hospitality and the casino sector in places like Paris, Bordeaux, Trouville-sur-Mer and Enghien-les-Bains.
“I am convinced that excellence in service and attention to detail make all the difference in creating memorable experiences, which is why I pay particular attention to people in the management of my teams,” writes Stephane Tendero on social media.
Catering Director in Paris
Before joining the SBM team, Stephane Tendero was the Catering Director at Le Fouquet’s Brasserie and Hotel for six years in Paris. There, he managed 240 employees and orchestrated marketing and sales actions. According to Stephane Tendero’s CV, under his leadership, Le Fouquet’s recorded a significant increase in turnover and the number of bookings, from 300 to 1,000 per day.
Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene inaugurate the New Café de Paris
Stephane Tendero took up his new position just a few weeks before the brand new Café de Paris Monte-Carlo was officially inaugurated by Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene on November 22. After 19 months of work, the Princely couple unveiled an inaugural plaque commemorating the newest version of the Café de Paris.
History spanning 157 years…
The history of Café de Paris Monte-Carlo began in 1868, when François Blanc created the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo and the Casino de Monte-Carlo. Throughout its existence, the legendary brasserie has undergone many developments, expansions and renovations.
