Celebrating the F1 with Grace Influential Impact Award
The Grace Influential Impact Award was recently launched aboard the Azzurra II yacht at Port Hercule, in the presence of Prince Albert II. The President of the Princess Grace-USA Foundation, Brisa Carleton, spoke about the award during the launch. Greg Maffei, president and CEO of Formula 1’s parent company Liberty Media, was also present for the launch. The special award will be given to one Formula 1 team during the Monaco Grand Prix next year.
The Grace Influential Impact Award will reward the team which had the most positive impact of the season, based on several criteria including: sustainability, philanthropy and education. Teams will apply with a specific project, but judges will look at all fields of action, which will help to level the playing field for teams that have more limited resources.
Trophy by Dale Chihuly
The trophy will be created by world famous glass artist Dale Chihuly. The sculptor will create a personalized statuette for the yearly winning team.
Now that the award has been officially launched, teams are invited to apply for the 2023 award, which will bring increased visibility to their positive impact initiatives and broader recognition of their hard work. The application criteria includes environmental sustainability, community inclusion and diversity and education mentorship. The Grace Influential Award winner will be selected by a panel of twenty judges made up of a diverse and global group of sustainability leaders, motorsport luminaries, celebrities active in positive impact, and selected youth judges.

The Grace Influential Impact Award celebrates the Formula 1 team or organization which best embodies these values and strives to make the world a better place,” states the Grace Influential website.

Grace Influential is an initiative led by the Princess Grace Foundation which oversees Princess Grace’s charitable legacy. The award is inspired by Princess Grace of Monaco and honours her commitment to excellence, the global culture of philanthropy she ignited from Monaco and the enduring example she set, as an iconic global leader, for positive impact.
