The Hôtel Métropole Monte-Carlo has won the Condé Nast Traveler magazine’s “Triple Crown” award, a major distinction announced in June 2026 that recognizes the “best hotels in the world”.
“Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo is the first and only hotel in Monaco to receive this honour during the inaugural edition,” said the Hotel Metropole in a recent press release.
The Triple Crown recognizes a rare selection of establishments that have received all three of the magazine’s major awards: the Hot List (for best new hotels), the Gold List (editors’ favourite hotels), and the Readers’ Choice Awards. The award, which combines recognition from both publishers and millions of discerning readers, makes the Triple Crown one of the most influential distinctions in the global hotel industry.
“To be awarded the Condé Nast Traveler Triple Crown is an extraordinary honour for our entire team,” said Klaus Kabelitz, the new General Manager of the Hôtel Métropole,“this distinction reflects our ongoing commitment to excellence as well as the deep trust our guests place in us.”
This announcement comes after the Hôtel Métropole recently renovated all rooms and suites, which were redesigned by Jacques Garcia at the end of 2025. The hotel also inaugurated a new Spa by Guerlain last summer.
Located in the prestigious Carré d’Or, a stone’s throw from the legendary Monte-Carlo Casino, the Hôtel Métropole Monte-Carlo was inaugurated in 1886 and embodies the refinement of the Belle Époque.
The two-Michelin-starred restaurant Les Ambassadeurs by Christophe Cussac aims to elevate and highlight Mediterranean flavours. The Hotel is also home to Japanese restaurant Yoshi, conceived by Didier Gomez, and a pool area designed by Karl Lagerfeld.
The Hotel Metropole is the only independent hotel in Monaco and is part of the “Leading Hotels of the World” community, a collection of independent and unique luxury hotels.
