La Rascasse, known as “the legendary bar of the Principality” reopened its doors after four months of renovations on 9 April 2026. The work was undertaken by the Construction and Built Heritage Department of the Société des Bains de Mer (SBM). Located on Port Hercule, La Rascasse is a lookout point for Monaco’s most prestigious motor races and its new design is an homage to motorsport.

“More than just a bar, La Rascasse is a place to live, where the spirit of sport blends with that of celebration, with elegance and simplicity,” says the SBM in a recent press release.

What’s new at La Rascasse?

Transformed into a chic Sports Bar, La Rascasse’s new look includes a striking ceiling sculpted from car engines, a checkered floor resembling the starting line of a race, and red and white decor. On the walls are framed photos of vintage races and drivers in their helmets and racing suits, including Monegasque driver Charles Leclerc.
