Sorting our waste in Monaco just became a lot easier. Only two colours to remember for recycling from now on:
GREEN for glass,
YELLOW for paper and plastic.
Blue where we used to put all our paper will no longer be used. Green stays exactly the same which is where we put our glass – you hear the clink as the glass goes in and there is a Cliiink system of rewards as well. So now both paper and plastics go in the yellow bin. Therefore, waste that was previously placed in the blue bin can now be placed in the yellow bin.
The Infinite Charm of Horse Riding on the Riviera
«No hour of life is wasted that is spent in the saddle», used to say the former British prime minister, Winston Churchill. Who knows if his words were inspired by his beloved Côte d’Azur where he used to spend his holidays in the ‘30s.
The extraordinary landscape of the French South-East Riviera and the adjacent Italian Flowers’ Riviera makes it the perfect location to go horseback riding benefiting from its mild weather and variety of ecosystems, sea and mountains — all at the same time. A very good reason to enjoy an area which has been attracting international tourists for a long time, thanks to its unspoiled natural beauty and Mediterranean flavours.
The Monaco Economic Board (MEB) celebrated its 20th anniversary with a cocktail event attended by Prince Albert II, which was held after the Annual General Meeting, at Monaco’s Yacht Club in March. During the meeting, members approved an amendment which will widen the scope of the association’s actions, with Guillaume Rose as the new Chief Executive Officer.
The best side of Art is ready to take off in the Principality on the occasion of the 2ndedition of Monaco Art Week, a well-articulated Art show that will involve major Monegasque art galleries from the 24th until the 28th April 2019 to enhance top quality forms of artistic expression. In this framework, for the first time, Artcurial Monaco SAM, historical leading art gallery and auction house since 2015, will be offering “Monaco Sculptures”, a multi-setting exhibition devoted to the most eminent sculptors of Twentieth and Twenty-first century.
Green, environment friendly, low carbon emissions, sustainable development, low pollution: we are becoming more and more aware of these goals, but where does waste management and recycling fit in. How is Monaco to handle its waste in the future? Monaco is about to address this with a major project on its own territory.
Nico Rosberg will be remembered for his mastery of Formula 1 and eclipsing his Mercedes teammate Lewis Hamilton by just five points for the World Championship in 2016. Then followed a surprise less than a week later, some will say it was even a shock. The German sensationally announced his retirement at the age of 31 having fulfilled his childhood dream.
The Rose Ball is an annual ball which is held in Monaco by the princely family and marks the onset of Spring.
