Monegasque Children Win Their Trophy of the Sainte-Devote Rugby Tournament
Monaco’s Saint Devote is the inspiration for an exquisite Rugby tournament for children under 12 held at Stade Louis II. It was originally conceived as a tournament between Monaco and Lucciana, a village in Corsica who adore the Saint together with Monaco. Saint Devota was born in 283 AD and was martyred in Corsica. Her body was rescued, and a dove guided the boat carrying her body to Monaco where the chapel built in her honour now stands. January 27th each year is dedicated to Saint Devota celebrations in Monaco which the Princely family attends. The Sainte Devote Rugby Tournament is supported by the Princess Charlene Foundation. The Princess herself is actively engaged in this charming children’s sports event.
AS Monaco Rugby Team Launch Crowdfunding Campaign
The AS Monaco Rugby team have launched a crowdfunding campaign to finance a minibus to safely transport the club’s youth. The campaign has been launched with an organization called Monaco Crowdfunding and aims to raise €20,000 before the 20th of May 2018.
Pirelli Tires reveal their selection for Monaco Grand Prix
Pirelli announced that it has selected three compounds in its range of Formula 1 tires for the Monaco Grand Prix, the sixth round of the 2018 F1 World Championship. The sole manufacturer of Formula 1 tires has decided to select hyper-soft, ultra-soft and super-soft tires for the F1 race.
Tourism Partners promote Monaco in the USA
A delegation from the Tourism and Conventions Department (DTC), accompanied by several Monegasque tourism partners, travelled to Chicago, Miami and New York for a promotional tour organized by the North American DTC representative office at the beginning of March. The Monegasque delegation, led by Corinne representative office Kiabski, DTC Director of Communications, and Laurence Aquilina, DTC North America Market Manager, were accompanied by Gerard Arazo from Columbus Monte-Carlo, Anne-Marie Pinsault from the Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo and Alexandre Lebrat from Monte-Carlo SBM, as well as Dominique Milardi from Meridien Beach Plaza.

Inauguration of Monaco’s Honorary Consulate in Ancona
The Honorary Consulate of the Principality of Monaco in Ancona, Italy was inaugurated in March 2018. To celebrate the occasion, Professor Giovanni Puoti, the newly appointed Consul of Monaco, organized a reception at which representatives from the civil and military authorities as well as the Consuls of other Countries present in the region were invited.
Winners of the 8th Monaco Artists Open
87 artists from 8 different countries took part in the 8th Monaco Artists Open by creating multi-faceted works of art revolving around the theme ‘Borders: the limit as thickness’. Thirty works were selected by the jury to create an exhibition which took place over the month of March and the prize winners were announced at the end of the exhibition.

Charles Leclerc Triumphant – Monequasques ablaze with pride
While Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton were battling it out in the Australian Grand Prix there was a new game in town. A new game in the form of a 20-year-old Monegasque. His name is Charles Leclerc and all of Monaco was cheering for him. This was the ultimate test – Formula 1. There is no higher mountain to climb. If Charles Leclerc succeeds here, he joins the ranks of the greatest racing drivers in the world – and at the tender age of 20 years old. The goal in the first Formula 1 race for a rookie is to finish – to cross the finish line with the checkered flag waving.
