Sculpting Dreams: The Chokolashow Journey Through Chocolate. Taste!

The inaugural CHOKOLASHOW, an event showcasing the creative prowess of young artists tasked with sculpting blocks of chocolate, is scheduled to debut on May 9th within the esteemed confines of the Riva tunnel, adjacent to the illustrious Port Hercules in Monaco.

This year’s thematic inspiration revolves around the vintage racing cars competing in the Monaco Historic Grand Prix, fueling the imaginative endeavours of participating sculptors.

The ceremony held on May 2nd at the Bottega del Gelato, the event’s partner, marked the allocation of 8 blocks of chocolate, each weighing 12 kg, to 8 students from the School of Fine Arts of Monaco (Pavillon Bosio) and the Academy of Fine Arts of Sanremo, engaged in the inaugural Chokolashow. Facilitated by the Monaco International Hub association, helmed by journalist Maria Bologna, the students drew cards corresponding to vintage racing car models, further shaping their creative endeavors. Beyond artistic expression, Chokolashow endeavors to transcend iconic national events into art, leveraging chocolate as a medium while supporting charitable causes. The participating artists, alongside Caroline Bergonzi, a professional Monegasque artist tasked with crafting an out-of-competition composition, have until May 8th to complete their sculptures, set to be showcased on May 9th within the prestigious Riva tunnel.
