The Principality of Monaco acquires the Vintimille Marina concession

On 6 December 2016, the Cozzi Parodi Group chaired by Mrs Béatrice Parodi, signed an agreement with the Principality of Monaco represented by the “Société Monégasque Internationale Portuaire” (SMIP), a subsidiary of the Monaco Ports Exploitation Company, for the session of all the “Cala del Forte” shares, holder of the Vintimille Marina concession.

The municipality of Ventimiglia and the Ligure Region made this agreement possible thanks to the approval of the original project version that will allow larger pleasure boats to use the harbor and suit better the current needs of the yachting market.

The new owners of “Cala Del Forte” intend to resume work as soon as possible, as early as January 2017.

The maritime work is expected to be completed by summer 2018, allowing for the port operations. Shore facilities should be operational by 2019.

Ultimately, the port complex will include 171 berths from 6m to 60 m, about 400 parking spaces, a shipyard and 3800m2 of commercial premises.

Parallel to the port works, a number of urbanization works will be carried out in the port’s vicinity. Namely, sewerage network reconstruction, roadway resurfacing, landscaping and construction of a vertical lift connecting the port to the old Ventimiglia.

The Mayor of Ventimiglia, Mr. Enrico Ioculano, the new President of “Cala Del Forte”, Mr. Aleco Keusseoglou, will give their first press conference in Italy and share further information on this project.

This meeting will take place on December 12 at 2 pm at the Annunciata Fort, in the old Ventimiglia.
