The Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo has been featured on this year’s prestigious “World’s 50 Best Hotels” list, which was unveiled during a ceremony in Paris on Tuesday 15 September.
Leading professionals from the tourism and luxury hospitality industries gathered at the Salles du Carrousel for the fourth annual “50 Best Hotels” ceremony. The Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo secured the 40th spot. Louis Starck, General Manager of the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo, attended the ceremony alongside Hotel Manager, Vincent Chasseignaux.
“This new distinction awarded to the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo once again highlights the dedication shown daily by the establishment and its teams—a commitment maintained for over 160 years,” says the Société des Bains de Mer (SBM) in a recent press release.
Building on the success of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants and the World’s 50 Best Bars, the 50 Best launched the World’s 50 Best Hotels in 2023. The ranking is determined by the 50 Best Hotels Academy, a group of over 800 independent figures, each selected for their expertise in the international hotel scene.
“Recognized last summer by ‘La Liste 2026’, which ranks the world’s top 1,000 hotels, the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo has once again confirmed its commitment to excellence,” says the SBM in a recent press release.
Four Michelin Stars
Built in 1864 on the Place du Casino, the Monegasque establishment with Belle Époque architecture is a true icon of the hospitality world. The hotel boasts a total of four Michelin stars across its restaurants (Le Louis XV-Alain Ducasse has earned three stars and Le Grill has earned one star). The hotel is also home to the Em Sherif Monte-Carlo and its Lebanese flavors, the Bar Américain with its glamorous, jazz-infused atmosphere, and the Cédric Grolet Monte-Carlo, located in the heart of the Patio, featuring original, gourmet creations.
Princess Grace Diamond Suite
Renovated in 2019 following five years of work, the hotel houses 206 rooms and suites, including exceptional Diamond Suites like the Prince Rainier III Diamond Suite and the Princess Grace Diamond Suite.
Award-winning Wine Cellar
The Hôtel de Paris cellars, built in 1874 at a depth of 12 metres, house over 300,000 bottles and 11,000 labels across a 1,500 m² area. As the world’s largest hotel wine cellar, it received the “Best of Award of Excellence” from Wine Spectator in June 2026.
