The positive results for employment statistics in the Principality for 2018

For the year 2018, the Department of Health and Social Affairs reports positive results for employment statistics in the Principality.

Thus, the Department of Employment announces the following indicators:

– 51,601 employees as at 31 December 2018, in comparison with 49,693 as at 31 December 2017, i.e. an increase in the number of employees of +3.8% (+ 1,907 employees);

– 90.9 million hours declared as at 31 December 2018, i.e. +3.7%;

– 34,103 offers of employment submitted as at 31 December 2018, in comparison with 30,425 as at 31 December 2017, an increase of +12.1%.

The sectors of construction (+24%), industry (+30.1%) and trade (+27.3%) show growth in comparison with 2017 in terms of offers of employment.

The overall increase in the number of employees indicates that Monegasque economic activity continues to be extremely strong.
