When the checkered flag lowered on the final Formula 1TM car and after the grandstands came down, Monaco’s biggest annual spectacle quietly entered its second life. This time, the focus is not on lap times or podium celebrations. It is on spreadsheets, economic models and statistical evidence.
The National Council voted in favour of two bills concerning Survivor’s Pensions in the public and private sectors, during a public session on 29 June 2026. The new laws mean that a surviving spouse, regardless of gender, may receive a portion of the deceased spouse's retirement pension.
