Le Printemps des Arts: Opera on Film

Le Printemps des Arts (Spring Arts Festival) continues with “Opera on Film” screening on Sunday 6 April 2025, at 11 am in the Cinéma des Beaux-Arts.

This recording made at the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence in 2007 features an iconic staging of the Leós Janáček masterpiece by Patrice Chéreau, with music conducted by the one and only Pierre Boulez. The result is a unique example of music and theatre’s ability to complement one another to powerful effect, demonstrated by two giants of the operatic art.
