Perched at the tip of the Monte-Carlo Beach peninsula, surrounded by pine trees, lemon groves and uninterrupted Mediterranean views, the restaurant has long been one of Monaco’s most coveted summer addresses. This season, however, a new chapter begins. One of Italy’s most celebrated chefs has arrived.
On 12 June, Simone Zanoni officially opened La Vigie Zanoni Monte-Carlo, bringing his vibrant interpretation of Italian cuisine. The seasonal restaurant will welcome guests until 13 September, transforming La Vigie into a celebration of sunshine and the unmistakable spirit of Italian hospitality.

A Chef Who Brings Italy Wherever He Goes
Zanoni is already well known to international gourmets. Born in Lombardy and now at the helm of the Michelin-starred Le George at the renowned Four Seasons Hotel George V in Paris, he has built a reputation for combining refined technique with approachable, joyful cooking. His cuisine celebrates Italian traditions without overcomplicating them, allowing exceptional ingredients to remain the stars of the plate.

His arrival at Monte-Carlo Beach marks one of the most significant culinary developments of Monaco’s 2026 summer season.
“Signing a table as mythical and historic as La Vigie is an immense source of pride,” Zanoni said ahead of the opening. “Being surrounded by exceptional products, facing this magnificent sea and reconnecting with my native Italy is a tremendous happiness.”
A Restaurant Suspended Between Sea and Sky
Few restaurants can rival La Vigie’s setting.
Located on the rocky promontory at the eastern edge of the Monte-Carlo Beach estate in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, the venue appears almost suspended above the water. Guests arrive through a pine forest pathway or by boat, stepping into an environment where the Mediterranean becomes part of the décor. The location has long been celebrated for its panoramic views and unique atmosphere, making it one of the Riviera’s most photogenic dining destinations.

The Menu: Italy in Full Summer Mode
The philosophy is simple: shareable dishes, exceptional ingredients and flavours that evoke an Italian summer holiday.
Fresh pasta, crudos, seafood, meats and sun-ripened vegetables form the backbone of the menu. Zanoni’s signature dishes include Escalope Milanese, Tortellini Carbonara and braised veal agnolotti. Created especially for La Vigie is a luxurious Tagliolini Caviar and Champagne, a dish that bridges Italian tradition and Monaco glamour.
Desserts remain firmly rooted in Italian comfort. Guests can finish with classic tiramisu or a pistachio semifreddo paired with citrus sorbet.
The menu also showcases Italian favourites ranging from risottos and pizzas to Parma ham and figliata cheeses. One particularly personal touch is Zanoni’s beloved acacia honey mustard, presented on every table as an accompaniment to enhance various dishes.

Cocktails with an Italian Accent
The Italian theme extends beyond the kitchen.
Among the signature drinks are the Bellini Reale, combining homemade white peach purée with Champagne, the Dolce Piacere with Amaretto Disaronno and cherry notes, and the Monte-Carlo Negroni featuring local touches through Prince Explorer gin and Monte-Carlo Vermouth Rosso.
Non-alcoholic options receive equal attention. The Velluto Rosso blends pineapple, passion fruit and raspberry, while the Limonata al Basilico offers a refreshing combination of lemon and fresh basil, perfectly suited to warm Riviera evenings.
Arrive by Sea
In a region where arriving is often half the experience, Monte-Carlo Beach has revived one of the most elegant approaches to dining.
Guests can reach La Vigie via the Monte-Carlo Beach maritime shuttle from the pontoon beside the Yacht Club de Monaco in Port Hercule. The crossing takes approximately 15 minutes, offering a scenic approach along Monaco’s coastline before arriving directly at the restaurant’s peninsula setting.

More Than a New Restaurant
La Vigie Zanoni Monte-Carlo represents the meeting of two powerful identities: one of Monaco’s most iconic seaside venues and a chef whose cooking embodies the warmth, generosity and authenticity of modern Italian gastronomy.
For diners, it offers a long lunch or sunset dinner where the flavours of Italy meet one of the Mediterranean’s most spectacular views.
This summer, La Dolce Vita has found a new address. And it sits right at the edge of the sea.
