For once, the numbers beside Charles Leclerc’s name had nothing to do with a stopwatch. They marked the arrival of his daughter.
Charles and Alexandra Leclerc welcomed their first child on Tuesday 3 November, sharing their happiness the following day through a joint Instagram announcement. A photograph offered a delicate first glimpse: tiny legs, soft pink knitwear and little covered feet. Just enough to introduce Bianca to the world, while keeping the precious beginnings of family life their own.
There is something rather lovely about such a small announcement travelling so far. A few words beneath a baby photograph, and suddenly the conversation around one of the Formula 1TM most closely watched drivers becomes something wonderfully familiar: congratulations to two new parents.
Messages soon arrived from across the racing community. Carlos Sainz, Oscar Piastri and Pierre Gasly were among the drivers sending their good wishes. Beyond the rivalries and race results, there was a little girl to welcome.
For Monaco, the news carries a particular warmth. The Principality has followed Charles from a young local talent to a Ferrari driver whose achievements command worldwide attention. Now, alongside that very public sporting story, comes a family milestone that needs no knowledge of motor racing to appreciate.
It also adds another unforgettable date to the couple’s year.
On Saturday 28 February, 2026, Charles and Alexandra married in a private civil ceremony at Monaco Town Hall. The photographs they later shared captured their journey through the Principality in a beautiful 1957 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa, a suitably romantic departure for a couple whose lives so often intersect with the world of cars. Charles subsequently explained that a further wedding celebration with their loved ones would follow in 2027.
Between those two celebrations, their family has grown. Together publicly since 2023, Charles and Alexandra announced their engagement in November 2025. Their dachshund Leo even had a role in the proposal, helping deliver the marriage request on a tag. It was an affectionate detail in a love story that has continued to unfold through carefully chosen glimpses.
Bianca’s arrival comes as Formula 1TM approaches the São Paulo Grand Prix, bringing the demands of an international racing calendar alongside the first days of parenthood. Yet the announcement itself required no explanation of schedules or arrangements. Its simplicity was its charm.
A daughter’s name, her birthday, and a photograph her parents will surely treasure. There will be time for the next race, the next celebration and all the photographs still to come. For now, Charles and Alexandra have shared the beginning of something immense in the smallest possible frame.
