January 25, 2018 - January 28, 2018€17 – €28
“Proudhon Models … Courbet”, theatrical performances by and with Jean Petrement, Alain Leclerc, Elisa Oriol and Yves Jeanbourquin on Thursday 25 and Friday 26 January, at 8.30 pm, Saturday 27 January, at 9 pm, Sunday 28 January, at 4.30 pm in Théâtre des Muses.
1855: A remarkable philosophical dispute, powerful and jubilant between the beautiful and ominous spirit Proudhon, hero of the revolution of 48, and the bubbling genius of life and desires Courbet who claims his freedom of creator, to which Jenny, free and emancipated woman, joins and Georges, a peasant-poacher with conservative ideas.
Nobody is supposed to ignore the law. Neither is it supposed to ignore that Proudhon, father of anarchism, and Courbet, a painter of realism, were friends and that each one of them in their field turned history upside down. Despite their differences, their idealistic struggles bring them together, pushing one to build a pictorial work intended to express one’s own experience, to return art to the people and the other to dream of new foundations for a more just society.
Often funny, this dialogue with 4 voices is served by great actors who transcend a text fulgurant rhythm and intelligence. Great art undeniably!
Tickets range between 17 and 28 euros.
