It’s the last weekend of the summer, make the most of it. And here are our recommendations for you on where to go and what to do.
Organized every four years since 1957, this year’s International Festival of Amateur Theatre will bring together 24 troops from 24 different countries. In addition to performances every evening, the Festival offers symposiums and workshops open to all, and runs from the 21st to 30th of August.
The 16th edition of the festival will take place at three of the Principality’s theatres: the prestigious Salle Garnier, the Theatre des Variétés and the Theatre Princesse Grace. Monaco welcomes everyone this weekend to watch or participate in the Sailing Race — 13th Palermo – Monte-Carlo Race organised by the Circolo della Vela Sicilia in association with the Yacht Club of Monaco from Monday 21 August to Saturday 26 August.
Another sports event this Sunday is French Premier League Football Championship: AS Monaco vs. Olympique Marseille, Day 4 on Sunday August 27, at 9 pm at Stade Louis II.

And if you like to plan ahead, here is an interesting event for you: on Thursday 21 September, at 8 pm in the Opéra de Monte-Carlo – Salle Garnier the Monte Carlo Opera and Ballets will open the new season by a Gala with a work for two dancers and four corps de ballet by the Monte-Carlo Ballets and arias from Russian operas by young artists from the Lyric Academy of the Monte-Carlo Opera, accompanied on the piano by Kira Parfeevets. Tickets range from €50 to €1000.
