6 Things you should know about masquerade carnival «Venice in Monte-Carlo»
To open the International Carnival Season, the Principality of Monaco will host the event Venice in Monte-Carlo from 3rd to 5th February 2017 under the high patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco.
For a weekend, Monaco will represent and reinterpret the spirit and the traditions of the glorious Venetian Carnival. This elegant, fashionable and magical event, Ambassador of Venice, is a true tribute to Love with main features: a cultural collaboration between Monaco and Venice, an event in partnership with Yacht Club of Monaco, a Grand Venetian Masked Ball in period costume in the sumptuous decor of the Salle des Etoiles of Sporting Monte Carlo and a big colorful parade that will glitter with the hues of the rainbow in the Casino Square.
Opera singer Delia Grace Noble has been organizing the masked Venetian ball for two years. 300 attendees are expected this Saturday in the Salle des Étoiles.
Her motto is «do everything with your heart». After two years of hard work, Delia Grace Noble’s dream is about to come true. Her dream has been to re-introduce costumed balls to the Principality with the event titled «Venice in Monte-Carlo», taking place on Saturday at the Salle des Étoiles, a prelude to the Carnival of Venice. Nearly 300 guests are expected to attend the gala, inspired by the legendary costumes of Monaco.
«The idea is to open the international carnival season here in Monte Carlo, before Venice, Nice or Rio», says Delia Grace Noble.
Imagine, for the entire Carnival the streets are filled with celebrants dressed in luxurious, festive garb; experiencing Venice during the Carnival is like stepping back in time, with no modern buildings to spoil the illusion. All of an evening you might experience walking up the stairs of a candlelit palace, expecting Casanova to make his advances; enjoying cocktails over the glimmering Salle des Etoiles, abandoning your senses to pleasure; and revealing your true identity only to carefully chosen intimates. After all this extravagance perhaps your night is completed by a mysterious, romantic, moonlight tryst, leaving you entranced and breathless, ready to meet the whole experience again the following day.
