New stamps to go on sale

Monaco’s Stamp Issuing Office will release the following stamps for sale on 17 January 2018:

1,56€ – GRACE KELLY MOVIES – HIGH SOCIETY

Directed in 1956 by Charles Walters, “High Society” is a musical remake of “Indiscretions”, a film directed in 1940 by George Cukor. One of the most memorable scenes is a duo by Grace Kelly and Bing Crosby, performing Cole Porter’s song “True Love”. This was Grace Kelly’s last film before she became Princess of Monaco and ended her acting career.

2,40€ – GRACE KELLY MOVIES – GREEN FIRE

“Green Fire”, an American film directed in 1954 by Andrew Marton, was not a commercial success. However, it has all the charm of old adventure films and appealed to audiences because of the magnificent Colombian landscapes and the beauty of Grace Kelly.

These issues will be on sale at the “Office des Timbres”, the “Musée des Timbres et des Monnaies”, the post offices and philatelic counters of the Principality.
