The Monaco Private Label (MPL) Summit, now in its 15th year, took place from September 15 to 17, bringing together more than 150 influential figures from across the globe. In the presence of HSH Prince Albert II and Monaco’s key government officials, this exclusive gathering showcased Monaco’s continued efforts to position itself as a hub for innovation, investment, and cultural influence.
Established in 2009 by Michel Bouquier and now headed by Chloé Leclercq-Boscagli, and having been nurtured by Frederic Genta the MPL has grown into a prestigious network of nearly 2,250 members from over 70 countries, all selected for their philanthropic achievements, ethical standing, and desire to contribute to Monaco’s development. Designed to attract ultra-high-net-worth individuals, the MPL is not simply a club for the wealthy—it is a strategic tool used by the government to enhance the Principality’s global influence and charm.
Blue Economy, Art, AI & Medicine
At the heart of this year’s summit were discussions around groundbreaking topics such as the blue economy, artificial intelligence, longevity medicine, and the intersection of art and technology. American visual artist Jeff Koons and Formula 1 champion Fernando Alonso headlined the event, offering unique perspectives on how their fields are evolving in response to emerging trends and opportunities. Koons delved into the fusion of art with new technologies, while Alonso discussed the parallels between high-level sports and entrepreneurship, emphasizing the opportunities Monaco presents to both athletes and business leaders.
The MPL is more than a social network; it’s an action-oriented group. Its members are not just required to possess wealth but are expected to be active ambassadors for Monaco. They help to expand Monaco’s reach by opening doors to vital ecosystems, be they cultural, financial, or sporting, while also advocating for the Principality on the international stage.
The Summit’s focus on forward-thinking innovation extended into discussions on the blue economy—investing in sustainable initiatives that protect oceans while generating new revenue streams—and on AI, where leading experts explored the regulatory, ethical, and investment challenges shaping this fast-growing sector. In the field of longevity medicine, experts presented new research aimed at enhancing the quality of life through advances in biotechnology, opening exciting avenues for investment.
With the club set to host around 20 exclusive events annually, including those tied to high-profile events like the Monaco Grand Prix and the Monaco Yacht Show, MPL continues to blend its luxurious appeal with an increasingly purposeful mission. Beyond wealth, Monaco seeks individuals who bring their influence, loyalty, and active participation in shaping the future of the Principality.
Under Leclercq-Boscagli’s leadership, the MPL aims to deepen the sense of belonging among its members and to continue playing a central role in Monaco’s future, ensuring that the Principality remains a beacon for global leadership in innovation, sustainability, and cultural prestige.
