Monaco commemorates Universal Children’s Day

Presidents of Monegasque humanitarian associations met with pupils of CM2 to commemorate Universal Children’s Day last week.

Under the patronage of HSH the Sovereign Prince, the Principality meets every year to celebrate the anniversary of the International Convention on the Rights of the Child, adopted by the General Assembly of the United Nations on 20 November 1989.

Pupils of CM2 classes get the opportunity to meet the Presidents of various Monegasque humanitarian associations and partners during Universal Children’s Day. Their mission statements, which aim to help and raise awareness for the children of the world whose fundamental rights are not respected, are then presented.

Nick Danziger, a British photographer and director of numerous documentaries on the Rights of the Child, met 4th grade students between the 21st and 27th of November, during workshops and outreach programs in both French and English.
