Prince Albert II attends Bastien Ballesta Boxing Match

Prince Albert II attended a boxing match which ended in victory for Bastien Ballesta.

It was Bastien Ballesta’s thirteenth fight and it took place in Monaco. He returned from the Principality with a new victory and new memories.

Official launch of MonacoTech

MonacoTech, the start-up incubator and accelerator established by the Monegasque Government in partnership with Monaco Telecom, was recently inaugurated by H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince, Jean Castellini, Minister of Finance and Economy, and Xavier Niel.

In an open area of more than 800 square metres, including a co-working space, MonacoTech began hosting some 15 start-ups a few days ago. Five out of 67 applicants were successful at the first selection panel (CIEL, Hyve, KeeSystem, TerraioT, and YouStock), and a further 10 (out of 115 applicants) were chosen by the second selection panel (Novetech Surgery, Lanéva Boats, PHYG, Surgisafe, Coraliotech, Gangz, Nanotek Materials, Linkyourleasure, Teale, and YACHTNEEDS).

Four teams compete for first Princes’ Cup

Mastery, bravery and self-confidence are values ​​taught by the Outward Bound Association and learned in rowing. The Association has existed in 34 countries around the world for 76 years and was established in the Principality 14 years ago.  Prince Albert II and Prince Andrew, the duke of York watched the competitions and encouraged all the participants.  They presented the trophy to the Wales team, led by Daniel Luger, who won the first Princes’ Cup.

Princely couple with twins, Jacques and Gabriella, attended Outward Bound Charity Dinner

Prince Albert II welcomed Prince Andrew, Duke of York, to a charity dinner on Tuesday the 7th of November, to raise funds for the Outward Bound Association.  The Monegasque Branch of Outward Bound is sponsored by Prince Albert II and Prince Andrew.

Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella of Monaco made a special appearance on Thursday night at the charity dinner organized for the Outward Bound Monaco association.

A foundation that has existed on the Rock since 2004 after Prince Andrew challenged Prince Albert II to create Outward Bound Monaco.  Thus, for the last 13 years, a charity dinner has been organised every year to raise funds and find sponsors to help young people flourish.

Princess Gabriella and Prince Jacques have a busy schedule ahead

On Monaco’s National Day, which is 19 November, the twins will take part in the royal family’s tradition of watching the celebrations from their balcony.  Then, they will celebrate their 3rd birthday on the 10th of December before making an appearance at the palace’s annual Christmas party.  Next year, the twins will be accompanying their parents on a “halfway-around-the-world” trip, starting in Polynesia, where Albert plans to visit the Yersin vessel during its stop in the Marquesa Islands.

On their trip, there is a possibility that they’ll meet a few local dignitaries, but taking Jacques and Gabriella on any official state visit will most likely wait a few years.  After all, it wasn’t until Prince Albert II was 6 years old that he participated in his first formal state visit, in Portugal.

Prince Albert and Princess Stephanie attended a gala to commemorate the 25th anniversary of “Ecoute Cancer Réconfort”.  Dreaded and often perceived as the most serious disease known to date, cancer affects millions of people around the world. For 25 years, the “Ecoute Cancer Réconfort” Association has been supporting patients.

Tribute to Grace Kelly

Prince Albert II, Princess Caroline, Camille Gottlieb and her mother, Princess Stephanie attended a tribute to Grace Kelly, organized by the Princess Grace USA Foundation on Saturday evening.  Princess Grace would have celebrated her 88th birthday this year. But she continues to live on, in popular culture and in the two foundations that bear her name. The Monegasque foundation continues its humanitarian work, while the Princess Grace Foundation in New York continues supporting young artists.

During the tribute, the princely family attended a screening of The Country Girl, a 1954 film directed by George Seaton. The tribute also included discussions about an important topic: women in the media and in the film industry.

Recently, Charlotte Casiraghi attended LACMA 2017 Art + Film gala held in Los Angeles, California. LACMA (The Los Angeles County Museum of Art) 2017 gala took place under the sponsorship of Gucci and was held in honour of artist Mark Bradford and film maker George Lucas.
