You are in for a really delightful weekend. And if you are afraid to get lost in the events HelloMonaco prepared a few recommendations for you.

The Rose Ball

In the spotlight of this weekend is undoubtably the Rose Ball, held in aid of the Princess Grace Foundation on Saturday 23 March 2024, at 8 pm, in Salle des Etoiles. The creative mind behind the staging of this year’s star-studded event is the celebrated designer best known for his iconic red shoes, Christian Louboutin, who will be decorating the prestigious Salle des Etoiles with a Disco theme.

Yacht Club

As part of Monaco Ocean Week, an initiative of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation alongside the Monaco Oceanographic Institute and Monaco Scientific Centre, Yacht Club de Monaco is in charge of a day dedicated to Yachting taking place on 23rd March.

One of the padel world’s most iconic and spectacular competitions CMB Monaco Master takes place outside the Casino de Monte-Carlo from Friday 15 to Sunday 24 March 2024 on Terrasses du Casino. Book your tickets now on the A1 Padel website if you’d like to attend this fourth edition of CMB Monaco Master. Following wins for Julianoti-Rocafort in 2021, Barrera-Britos in 2022 and Chozas-Augsburger in 2023, all of the top pairings on the tour will be battling it out for the coveted crown. CMB Monaco Master will also see new teams including Alfonso-Aguirre and Torre-De Pascual attempt to show they have what it takes to reach the very pinnacle of A1 Padel.

Open Doors

Open Doors for 16-23 year olds is organized on March 23, 2024 at Espace Lamartine.

12 p.m.-2 p.m.: snacking and meeting with the facilitators, free tours of the building

2 p.m.-5 p.m.: demonstration of activities (1 session every 30 min) sports challenge, orienteering games, cardiodrum, rhythmic fitness, line dancing and crafts

5 p.m.-6:30 p.m.: games, challenges, board games

From 6:30 p.m.: DJ evening, many surprises await you!

Access on presentation of the Monegasque identity card, resident card or proof of schooling in an establishment in the Principality.

The rich music program consists of numerous events of the Spring Arts Festival. Le Printemps des Arts: Musical Nap “Japanese Soul” concert is organized on Saturday 23 March 2024, at 3 pm and 4 pm in One Monte-Carlo.

Whether seated or reclining, on a sun lounger or in a chair, spectators are invited to take a unique musical siesta and bathe in the sounds of the Far East, in the company of flautist and composer Fabrice Jünger.

And in the evening there is a “Insula Orchestra” concert, organized at 8 pm, in Auditorium Rainier III.

Following their triumphant concert devoted to the music of Felix Mendelssohn last year, Insula Orchestra and their leader Laurence Equilbey are returning to the Printemps des Arts de Monte-Carlo for two programmes. The first features the symphonic works of Franz Schubert, with all the theatrical drama of his “Tragic” Symphony and the mystery of his “Unfinished” Symphony.

And there is another “Insula Orchestra” concert on Sunday 24 March 2024, at 6 pm, in Auditorium Rainier III.

Opéra de Monte-Carlo presents Recital with Cecilia Bartoli, mezzo-soprano, and Lang Lang, piano within Special gala event opening the Rose Ball on Saturday 23 March 2024, at 5 pm in Opéra de Monte-Carlo – Salle Garnier. Music by Rossini, Bellini, Donizetti, and others.

And another opera is on Sunday: “La Fille du régiment” (“The Daughter of the Regiment”) conducted by Ion Marin, and directed for the stage by Jean-Louis Grinda at 3 pm. It’s a comic opera in two acts with music by Gaetano Donizetti (1797-1848) and libretto by Jules Henry Vernoy de Saint-Georges and Jean-François Bayard.

Earth Hour

As every year, Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer is taking part in the symbolic Earth Hour event. The lights on the frontages of the Group’s most prestigious venues will be dimmed for one hour, to save energy and demonstrate their commitment to the cause of sustainability. Join on the famous Place du Casino in Monte-Carlo to celebrate Earth Hour on Saturday 23 March 2024, from 8.30 pm to 9.30 pm, in Place du Casino. There will also be activities and a light show on the façade of the Casino de Monte-Carlo to mark the symbolic occasion.

Exhibition: “A Prince, a Museum”

Among many interesting exhibitions that are held in Monaco these days you can take a look at The Monaco Museum of Prehistoric Anthropology that celebrates the vision of the current museum’s founder, Prince Rainier III with the exhibition: “A Prince, a Museum” held from Friday 15 December 2023 to Friday 5 April 2024, from 9 am to 6 pm.

Step into the history of the creation of the second Museum – a site museum! – in the heart of the Exotic Garden, just a few yards from the Observatory Cave. Learn about the numerous archaeological digs carried out during the Prince’s reign, and the unprecedented donations made by the Prince and Princess Grace Kelly. Explore different spaces on a variety of themes, from promotion of the Monegasque language to the holiday camps planned by the Museum’s then Director, Louis Barral.
