This week the 5 members of evaluation team met the representatives of the relevant Monegasque institutions (Directorate of Judicial Services and National Council), the High Commission for the Protection of Rights, Freedoms and Mediation, the local press and various civil society partners.

Monaco and Madagascar strengthen their cooperation in the field of public health.

The Government of Monaco and the Republic of Madagascar signed a Framework Agreement in order to deepen their dialogue and cooperation on public health.

Monaco and Madagascar public health project

Monaco has been supporting Madagascar since 2000 on a number of health issues: mother and child health, combating malnutrition, particularly with children, fighting major pandemics (malaria, HIV) and neglected diseases (Sickle cell disease), disability and enhancing reproductive health. The two states thus formalized their 15 year long relations and showed their common desire to bring this partnership to a new level.

Our long cooperation ties, mutual respect and trust, reflect the quality of our relations“, underlined Serge Telle, Minister of State for the Monaco Government.

The Framework Agreement establishes a regular political dialogue on health priorities defined by the National Strategy of Madagascar for 2015-2019. It will facilitate all joint actions through identifying the projects and bringing together resources. It will increase the impact of the investments made by the Government of Monaco in support of the Madagascar Government health goals. It will also serve to mobilize all public and private agents engaged in this sector and help the launch  of innovative and structuring projects in Madagascar.
