In a continued effort to promote responsible nightlife, Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer (SBM), Be Safe Monaco, and the Monegasque Red Cross have affirmed their collaboration to ensure safer nights out in Monaco during the 2025 summer season.
On Monday, May 12, Stéphane Valeri, Deputy President of SBM, and Camille Gottlieb, President of Be Safe Monaco, gathered at Jimmy’z Monte-Carlo to reconfirm their joint initiative. Since 2017, Be Safe Monaco has operated a free shuttle service that helps nightclub patrons get home safely if they are unable to drive. The service covers Monaco and surrounding municipalities.

This summer, from July 1 to August 31, SBM will once again provide operational support by assigning two of its employees to drive the Be Safe shuttles. Operating every night from midnight to 5 a.m., the shuttle service is intended to reduce alcohol-related risks. In 2024, 355 individuals used the service provided by these additional drivers.
Be Safe Monaco continues to cover insurance costs related to shuttle operations, including the drivers, and has also launched an awareness campaign on the dangers of drunk driving, aimed at seasonal staff working in SBM nightclubs. A BOSS Sécurité agent is also assigned to each shuttle to ensure safe and orderly trips.
Additionally, the Monegasque Red Cross has contributed to the safety initiative by donating 3,000 silicone glass protection caps to SBM venues. These reusable caps, produced by French company DrinkWatch, are designed to help prevent drink tampering and reduce spills. The caps will be distributed across SBM’s nightlife venues, including Jimmy’z Monte-Carlo, Amazónico Monte-Carlo, La Rascasse, Buddha-Bar Monte-Carlo, COYA Monte-Carlo, and Selva Monte-Carlo.

The May 12 event brought together representatives from all three partners, including Charlotte Marsan (Be Safe Monaco), Yann Bertrand and Dominique Martet (Monaco Red Cross), and Virginie Cotta, Secretary General in charge of CSR at SBM, alongside nightclub directors and support staff.
The partnership underscores a shared commitment to promoting a safer nightlife experience in Monaco—through both transportation support and preventive measures.
