Just over a year after its opening, Marlow, the British-themed restaurant in Monaco, has been named one of the “Most Beautiful Restaurants in the World” by the prestigious Prix Versailles.
From Dubai to London, Hong Kong, Los Angeles, and Helsinki: only 16 restaurants are featured on this coveted list, which was unveiled on Monday 1 June 2026. Marlow is the only restaurant in the Principality to be included.

“Ideally located on the central square of Mareterra, Monte-Carlo’s new district reclaimed from the sea, the Marlow restaurant seems to have always been there, like an anchor, a meeting place for locals and visitors alike,” says the Prix Versailles in a recent press release.
Inclusion on the Prix Versailles list means that the Marlow restaurant can now compete for one of three 2026 World Titles, to be awarded at the end of the year: Prix Versailles, Interior Mention, and Exterior Mention.

The Société des Bains de Mer (SBM) opened Marlow in January 2025. The restaurant’s interior blends a club atmosphere with a contemporary approach, featuring custom-designed furniture that elegantly brings different eras together. This interplay is also expressed through the restaurant’s cuisine, which features both British-inspired classics and reinventions.
“Inside, artist and architect Hugo Toro immerses us in British elegance through a fictional character – a subtle reminder of the English presence on the Riviera as early as the mid-18th century. An unexpected historical depth creates a warm and sophisticated, almost eccentric setting, as evidenced by the spaces surrounding the sculptural central bar, which are like cabinets of curiosities,” says the Prix Versailles.

Supported by UNESCO, the Prix Versailles celebrates the finest contemporary establishments worldwide that combine remarkable architecture, creativity, integration with the environment, and a menu perfectly in tune with its surroundings.
