The Monte-Carlo Casino unveiled new decor in its atrium, with the reopening of Café Rotonde and a design that pays homage to the Monopoly board game, during an event on 16 April 2026.
“A legendary establishment in the Principality of Monaco since 1863, the Monte-Carlo Casino continues to innovate and surprise its clientele,” says a recent press release by the Société des Bains de Mer (SBM).
An immense game board, tokens, houses, hotels, and colourful banknotes falling from the sky are all part of the new Monopoly-themed design of the Casino’s Atrium. The famous board game held its grand Casino debut under the watchful eye of a three-meter-tall Mr. Monopoly.
The new look won’t be around forever, only until 17 May 2026. But until then, “players and visitors are invited to discover this brand-new décor,” says the SBM.
Following the successful launch of the exclusive Monopoly SBM edition last December, players were invited to a preview of the European launch of the new Monopoly Big Board Bucks slot machines (by Aristocrat Gaming) on Friday 17 April at 7:30 p.m. in the Salle Renaissance. Eight slot machines were unveiled. Four of them will soon be joining the Casino Café de Paris on 20 April, “which also has its share of surprises in store for its players,” teases the SBM.
“Until 17 May, all MyMonteCarlo members can try their luck at winning more than 8,000 prizes, totalling €100,000 in gifts. The thrill of the game continues on social media, starting 20 April with Mr. Monopoly’s Riddle, available on the Instagram account @casinocafédeparis,” says the SBM. A random draw will select three winners from amongst the correct answers, offering “exclusive prizes”.
Café Rotonde
The atrium’s Café has reopened for the season and has been decorated with authentic 1930s slot machines. Open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Café Rotonde offers a savoury menu as well as sweet pastries inspired by the world of gaming.
Guests can now order three exclusive creations, designed by the SBM’s Pastry Department: Le Smoking (72% dark chocolate cream and choux pastry), Le Dé de la Chance (Piedmont hazelnut fondant centre, soft biscuit and light praline cream) and La Carte à Jouer (caramelized puff pastry, tonka bean chantilly and raspberries).
A selection of hot and cold beverages are also available, including signature cocktails like the Jackpot Monkey (Monkey 47 Gin, Italicus, ginger syrup, grapefruit juice, grapefruit bitters, ginger beer, and chamomile infusion), the Lucky Calabrese (Italicus, grapefruit juice, mandarin syrup, and Mumm Champagne), and the Four Aces (Ketel One Vodka, lime and lemon marmalade, pineapple juice, grapefruit juice, grapefruit bitters, and cinnamon syrup).
