New Health Measures Eliminate the Curfew and Expand access to restaurants and bars

Given the health situation, HSH Prince Albert II has decided to continue easing current health measures by ending the curfew and expanding access to restaurants and bars in a supervised manner starting Saturday, June 26. These decisions follow the proposals of His Government established in consultation with the National Council during a meeting of the Joint Monitoring Committee which was held at the Ministry of State.

End of curfew

It was decided to lift the curfew now for the summer vacation period. However, the health authorities recall the importance of remaining vigilant during convivial moments conducive to the spread of the virus. Note the first cases of the Delta variant have already been observed in the Principality, as in the neighboring region with people returning from travel.

Supervised restaurants and bars open to all

While the Health Pass is being implemented in the Principality of Monaco and in the countries of the European Union, it was decided, following the consultation conducted with catering professionals by the Minister of State, to remove the constraints on restaurant and bar customers. In order to ensure maximum health security in the Principality, people wishing to go to a restaurant must have a health pass or any equivalent document allowing them to check their vaccination status, their negative test result or their certificate of recovery.

This measure does not concern Monegasques and residents, nor employees, nor residents of the Alpes-Maritimes and the province of Imperia.

Vaccination extended

The contaminations of recent days have occurred almost exclusively at private gatherings, in the absence of respect for barrier gestures and between people who were not vaccinated.

This situation leads the Prince’s Government to recall the need to be vaccinated in order to protect oneself and protect others.

People who wish to be vaccinated can contact the Covid-19 Call Center at 92.05.55.00 reachable 7 days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. or via the form provided for this purpose and available by following the following link.

In addition, from Monday, vaccination will be extended to all public sector personnel.
