Something that is sure to put music-lovers in a good “mood”, after a ten year hiatus, the Moods Studio and Music Bar will be reopening in Monaco, under the name “New Moods”. The big comeback is currently scheduled for October 2024.
Sorely missed by many Monegasques
The live music venue was renowned for its vibrant atmosphere and was sorely missed by many Monegasques.
“Really missing the great live evenings!! Such a shame it’s closed,” said one member of the Moods Monte-Carlo Facebook group when the venue first shut its doors back in 2011. Now, twelve years later, things are looking up.
New location featuring new acts and comedy
In a new location, live music will still be featured at the venue, alongside something new: stand-up comedy. Known and lesser-known comedians will grace the stage of New Moods, with young talent and comedians just starting out being given a chance to perform.
In a recent press interview with Radio Monaco, Stephane Valeri, president-delegate of the Société des Bains de Mer, confessed that, in his former role as President of the National Council, he knew of many people across the Principality who spoke to him about how saddened they were by the closure of Moods. Although the venue was not a financial success, the President of the SBM stated that he believes it was a great popular success and that there is much anticipation surrounding the venue’s reopening.
According to Stephane Valeri, the new venue should open next autumn, in October 2024. The president of the SBM also stated that the venue will be named “New Moods”. A perfect way to signify a fresh start while honouring the old venue.
