One year after the acquisition of the “Palace des Neiges” in Courchevel 1850, the Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer (SBM) has unveiled the name of the ambitious hotel project: “Monte-Carlo One – Courchevel”. The name was unveiled on 19 December 2024.

The SBM aims to open the doors of the “Monte-Carlo One – Courchevel” to its first guests for the 2026/2027 winter season.

“With Monte-Carlo One – Courchevel, we are deploying this strategy in an iconic resort that shares these same values, and addresses a common clientele, without forgetting the future synergies in terms of human resources. Courchevel 1850 is also a land of high-level sporting events, it thus positions itself as an alpine mirror of the Principality of Monaco,” said Stéphane Valeri, Deputy Chairman of the SBM.

The Monaco Gerontology Coordination Center (C.C.G.M.) has launched a new service for elderly residents. This service, unique to the Principality, is designed to provide personalized nighttime assistance for seniors who have partially lost their independence, as well as to support their families. It is aimed at individuals who already receive daily living assistance and is part of a home support program that eases the burden on family caregivers.

Currently, more than 25% of Monaco’s population is over 65, and this figure is expected to rise due to the aging baby boomer generation, according to research by Monaco’s Institute of Statistics (IMSEE). Monaco is actively implementing strategies to support aging in place, allowing seniors to remain in their familiar environments as long as possible.
