Jean Christophe Maillot in New York
Choreographer and Director of the Monte-Carlo Ballet, Jean Christophe Maillot has presented The Taming of the Shrew for the 1st time in New York.
He had been working with the illustrious dancers of the Bolshoi Theatre Ballet as part of the performances of his famed version of The Taming of the Shrew. The fruits of this artistic appointment were displayed for the first time in New York at the David H. Koch Theatre, as part of the Lincoln Centre Festival.
Monaco welcomes yet another original artist to exhibit their work in the Principality over summer; the first personal exhibition of Japanese artist Aya Takano, entitled Synesthesia, is open to the public till August 30th. The show features 21 artworks that reveal the artist’s obsessions and personal perception of the universe. New website for Exotic Garden
For fans and guests of the Exotic Garden of Monaco, your future visits have just been made smoother and easier, thanks to the effort of the council and this new technological solution. Since merely a few days ago, the new website of the Exotic Garden of Monaco has been available online. For this new communication tool, which can also be adapted to tablets and smartphones, the Monaco City Council has chosen to highlight both the Garden and its succulent plants, but also the Observatory Grotto.
The President of the Monegasque Association of Dance Baletu Arte Jazz, Marguerite Ferreira-Boffa can once again be proud of her dancers and the work accomplished this season with her team. The young dancers were able to enrich themselves artistically with internships organized by internationally renowned teachers: Brice Mousset (New York) in October 2016, Armel Ngungunanga (Belgium) in November 2016, Roberta Fontana (Rome) in March 2017 or Christine Hassid (Biarritz) last May.

William Kallop’s 66m yacht seized by Goldman Sachs
Natita, the 66-meter yacht purchased by American oil mogul, William Kallop in 2010 has now been seized by American bank, Goldman Sachs following the owner’s inability to service the loan against the yacht according to the Wall Street Journal.
