Prince Albert II expresses Support for the King of Spain after Devastating Floods

Following deadly floods in Spain, Prince Albert II sent an official dispatch to the King Felipe VI:

“Your Majesty,

It is with deep sadness that I learned of the terrible floods that have hit your country, causing so much loss of life and destruction. At this difficult time, my thoughts are with the bereaved families and the injured, as well as with all those affected by this tragedy.

On behalf of the Principality of Monaco and on my own behalf, I would like to express my solidarity with the Spanish people and our compassion for the ordeal they are going through. We salute the courage of the rescue teams and all those who are coming together to help the victims.

Please accept, Your Majesty, the expression of my sincere condolences and my support in this painful ordeal.

Prince Albert II attends AS Monaco Centenary Gala

To celebrate the centenary of the ASM, a gala dinner attended by Prince Albert II and eighty other guests was held in the Belle Epoque room at the Hermitage Hotel on Saturday 26 October. Managers, current and former players (including Jean-Luc Ettori, Claude Puel and Dimitar Berbatov) members of government and Monegasque personalities all gathered to celebrate the history of the club.

Michelin-starred chef Yannick Alléno prepared the menu while pianist Stella Almondo performed. Entertainment also including a quiz on the history of the club, which was won by Prince Albert II! As a prize, the Sovereign received a work of art which was created live by artist Django.

Prince Albert II accredits Three New Ambassadors from Serbia, Nepal, Burundi

Ana Hrustanovic, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Serbia; Sudhir Bhattarai, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Nepal; and Isaïe Kubwayo, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Burundi presented their credentials to Prince Albert II during the morning of 25 October.

Afterwards, the three ambassadors were received by Isabelle Berro-Amadei, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, for a lunch at the Hotel Hermitage.

Sir Stelios, Prince Albert II and Dr. Adil Najam help raise €600,000 for Mediterranean Seagrass

Members of the Stelios Foundation, WWF and the Prince Albert II Foundation gathered with 50 committed philanthropists during a charity dinner on 25 October. Sir Stelios, Prince Albert II and Dr. Adil Najam, President of WWF International, all spoke at the event, which aimed to raise awareness and funds to protect the Mediterranean’s precious seagrass beds. Seagrass meadows are critical habitats for thousands of marine species and also contribute to climate regulation by storing carbon. €600,000 was raised this year to help preserve these vital ecosystems.

Prince Albert II Interview: Vendée Globe, National Geographic and Why Monaco is a village

“Monaco is a village, with its advantages and disadvantages” reads the headline of an interview with Prince Albert II for newspaper Ouest-France. The Sovereign spoke about many things, including his upcoming participation in the inauguration of the Vendée Globe Foundation on 8 November. Monaco has been represented in this legendary, high-level race by Boris Herrmann, a member of the Yacht Club de Monaco, since 2020.

The Prince also announced a research project with National Geographic in the Solomon Islands, for the study of coral ecosystems. In June 2025, Monaco will host a forum on the blue economy, ahead of the United Nations Ocean Conference. At the dawn of his twenty-year reign, Prince Albert II also spoke about how he aspires to facilitate the harmonious development of the Principality, with optimism and care for our planet.

Princess Caroline celebrates 50 years of the Work of Sister Marie Association

The Work of Sister Marie Association, created in 1974 to support the elderly, is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. Princess Caroline, honorary president of the association, participated in a celebration event on 16 October. President Béatrice Fresko Rolfo expressed her gratitude to the volunteers, benefactors and the Princely Family, saluting the unwavering support of Princess Caroline.

Through home care, financial assistance and food parcels, the Work of Sister Marie Association helps elderly people in Monaco, neighbouring municipalities and Menton. The Association also combats feelings of isolation amongst seniors by organizing activities, snacks and lunches. Every summer, around fifteen elderly people in need are gifted a stay in the mountains.
