The start of the E-Rallye Monte-Carlo 2025 was signalled by Prince Albert II on the Place du Casino on October 15, in the presence Princess Stephanie and her daughter, Camille Gottlieb. In total, 62 cars competed in 14 stages. The crew of Guido Guerrini and Artur Prusak claimed victory in what was one of the most competitive editions to date. It’s the fourth consecutive victory for the South Korean manufacturer in the Principality in this event.
“Since 1995, the event has continuously evolved, showcasing progress in the global development of electric mobility!” said the Automobile Club of Monaco.








Prince Albert II inaugurates New SMEG Headquarters
Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene inaugurated the Principality’s newly renovated electricity and gas retailer, on Avenue de Fontvieille, on October 15. The SMEG building was under renovation for 3 years and has been expanded to 10 levels (from six) and 12,000 m2 (from 7,500 m2). The project cost 50 million euros and was completed by Vignet and Arch Monaco architects. The official inauguration ceremony was held 35 years after Prince Rainier III first inaugurated the SMEG headquarters, in the presence of Hereditary Prince Albert II.
Princess Caroline and Charlotte Casiraghi announce Prince Pierre Foundation Award Winners
Princess Caroline and Charlotte Casiraghi announced the 2025 Prince Pierre Foundation Award winners during a ceremony at the Opera Garnier on October 14. One day later, the winners received their awards from Prince Albert II and Princess Caroline at the Prince’s Palace.
Louis-Philippe Dalembert, a Haitian writer, received the Literary Prize. Ruben Barrouk won the Discovery Grant for his novel Tout le bruit du Guéliz. Simone Fattal won the International Prize for Contemporary Art. Her sculptures and installations question Mediterranean memory and the vestiges of vanished civilizations.
Camille Gottlieb races in the E-Rallye Monte-Carlo
Camille Gottlieb took part in her second E-Rallye Monte-Carlo in a Volvo, with her friend Margaux Grundstein. Together, they represented the Be Safe association, which was co-founded by Camille, Margaux, and their friends. Princess Stephanie, Pauline Ducruet and Jean-Raymond Gottlieb cheered her on from the Casino Square on October 15.
“For us, this is a chance to raise awareness about our association, especially internationally. At the E-Rallye, you see teams from all over the world, so we’re proud to represent Be Safe,” said Camille Gottlieb. Be Safe Monaco is committed to combating the dangers of drinking and driving, particularly among young people.
Princess Caroline attends Soupe de Nuit Charity Concert
The Princess of Hanover attended a concert by the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Philippe Bender, at the Rainier III Auditorium on October 16. The concert collected funds for Soupe de Nuit Monaco, which serves meals to homeless people every Thursday in the streets of Nice and Menton. Princess Caroline also attended the event last year, which raised between 15,000 and 20,000 euros.
Beatrice Borromeo and Pierre Casiraghi welcome a Baby Girl!
Beatrice Borromeo gave birth to a baby girl! Princess Caroline’s son, Pierre Casiraghi, and Beatrice Borromeo have named their new daughter Bianca Carolina Marta. The newborn is the couple’s third child. They also have two sons, Stefano and Francesco. Beatrice Borromeo and Pierre Casiraghi recently celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary.
Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene welcome Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh
The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh were welcomed to Monaco’s Princely Palace by Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene on October 13. Prince Edward and Sophie, who are the brother and sister-in-law of King Charles III, visited the Principality to strengthen British-Monegasque friendship. The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh also attended the Principality’s prestigious gala celebrating the Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards at the Yacht Club de Monaco on Sunday, October 12.
Prince Edward and Sophie both attended the wedding of Prince Albert and Charlene in July 2011. The British royal family and the Monegasque princely family share a common ancestor: Prince Johann William Friso of Nassau-Dietz (1687-1711).
Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene attend Red Cross Leadership Meeting
The Princely couple attended a Leadership Meeting of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, which welcomed representatives from 45 National Societies from Europe and Central Asia to Monaco on October 13. The high-level gathering, hosted by the Monaco Red Cross was held under the theme of strategic dialogue and partnership strengthening.
Prince Albert II explores Caves of the Endangered Mediterranean Monk Seal
Prince Albert II dived into a marine sanctuary in the Aegean Sea on October 9, to explore the underwater caves of Skopelos. He travelled to the location on a ship belonging to the Greek Agency for the Natural Environment and Climate Change. The Sovereign’s mission was to observe the last surviving monk seals in the Mediterranean in their natural habitat. Only a thousand monk seals remain in the world. The Prince Albert II Foundation, through the Monk Seal Alliance consortium, has been working to preserve this species through research programs, scientific cooperation, and the protection of marine habitats throughout the Mediterranean basin.
“It’s a fragile population and we have to continue our efforts for many more years,” said Prince Albert II.
