Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene receive National Societies Representatives at Palace
The Princely couple received National Societies representatives, who participated in the 10th edition of the Small European National Societies (SENS) network meeting, at the Palace on 16 September. Organized by the Monaco Red Cross, the meeting was held from 15 to 18 September in the Principality and brought together the National Societies of Andorra, Cyprus, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg and Malta, along with representatives of the Red Cross International Federation.
Baptism of Louis and Marie Ducruet’s Daughter, Constance
Louis and Marie Ducruet celebrated the baptism of their second daughter, Constance, on 12 September.
“Thank you to our families and friends for making this day so special,” the couple shared on social media.
Constance’s godmother is Louis’s sister, Pauline Ducruet, and the child’s godfather is Vincent Lelasseux, financial manager and Louis’s best friend.
Prince Albert II welcomes Christophe Lemoine as France’s New Ambassador
France’s new ambassador to Monaco, Christophe Lemoine, 52, officially presented his credentials to Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene during a ceremony at the Prince’s Palace on 17 September. He succeeds Jean d’Haussonville, who served as France’s ambassador to Monaco for three years.
Before arriving in Monaco, Lemoine served as an inspector of foreign affairs, Consul General of France in Los Angeles, and deputy head of the French Embassy in Rome. In Paris, he was spokesperson for the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, as well as its director of communication. Around 8,200 French nationals live in the Principality. France’s representation in Monaco was raised from a consulate general to a full embassy in 2006.
Prince Albert II visits Eva Gonzales Exhibition in Paris
Prince Albert II had a sneak peek of the “Eva Gonzales: Journey of a Free-Spirited Artist” exhibition one day before it officially opened at the Petit Palais in Paris on Monday 14 September 2026. The Sovereign was accompanied by Emmanuel Grégoire, Mayor of Paris, as well as the exhibition’s curators.
Prince Albert II is a major lender to the exhibition. The Princely Collections include around ten paintings by Eva Gonzales (1847–1883) while the Palace Archives hold a collection of family documents concerning her history.
The exhibition pays tribute to an artist with tremendous talent, who sadly passed away at the age of 34 from childbirth. Eva Gonzales was a French artist of Monegasque descent. The exhibition is on display at the Petit Palais until 24 January 2027. An adapted version of the exhibition will be presented at the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam in the spring of 2027.
Princess Charlene Foundation holds Water Safety Days in Landes
The Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation, working alongside its ambassador and world rescue champion, Stéphanie Barneix, organized the third consecutive edition of the Water Safety Days in the Landes department from 8 to 10 September. The three day campaign travelled to Léon, Vielle-Saint-Girons, and Arjuzanx, with 288 children learning vital water safety skills.
Princess Charlene to attend “Rokethon” for Animal Adoption
As President of the Monaco Society for the Protection of Animals (SPA), Princess Charlene will be participating in the symbolic 1-kilometre charity walk, Rokethon, which is returning to Monaco on 27 September. Last year, the Princess walked with her Chihuahua, Harley.
Held at the Chapiteau de l’Espace in Fontvieille, the morning will kick off with a speech from Princess Charlene, followed by a walk/run for participants and their dogs, held in solidarity against animal abandonment. Awards will then be presented to Dr. Thierry Bedossa, founder of Agir pour la Vie Animale (AVA), and Ozeki, a deserving dog. The afternoon will continue with an agility course, a fashion show with dogs available for adoption, animal art, a photo studio, a raffle, food trucks, and more. Although the fashion show at 3pm will give added visibility to dogs seeking their forever homes, the entire day will offer visitors the opportunity to meet dogs available for adoption.
