Prince Rainier III and Grace Kelly Wedding Exhibition at Museum of Stamps and Coins
The Museum of Stamps and Coins is hosting an exhibition of new objects related to the “wedding of the century”. At the time of Prince Rainier III and Grace Kelly’s wedding in 1956, eight stamps were issued in several million print runs. Not only does the Museum’s exhibition feature all the stamps that were issued for the occasion, but it also features the artist proofs, the mock-ups, the preliminary designs, the punches that were used for engraving the stamps and more.
For the coins part of the exhibition, viewers can see the medals that were made with the approved original plaster cast and the rejected one. The exhibition aims to show how stamps and coins preserve the memory of great events.
This year, two new stamps have been issued by Monaco’s Stamps and Coins Office: a collector’s stamp with the image of the poster for the current Wedding of the Century exhibition taking place at the Prince’s Palace, and another commemorative stamp which reproduces the image issued in 1956. The exhibition runs until 15 October 2026.

The Princely couple attended a solemn ceremony commemorating the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attack in Nice on 14 July 2026. The ceremony was presided over by French President Emmanuel Macron.
On the evening of 14 July 2016, a 19-tonne cargo truck was deliberately driven into crowds celebrating Bastille Day on the Promenade des Anglais in Nice, resulting in the deaths of 86 people and injuries to 458 others. The attack took place shortly after a fireworks display and remains one of the deadliest terrorist attacks in modern French history.
Monaco and Spain: Five Centuries of ties Celebrated in Touring Exhibition
The ‘Monaco and Spain, Five Centuries of Shared History’ exhibition is currently travelling through Spain. Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene inaugurated the exhibition with King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain in Madrid on 1 June at the Villanueva Pavilion of the Royal Botanical Garden.
Following its debut in Madrid, the exhibition travelled to Seville, where it was inaugurated on 22 June at the headquarters of the Fundación Cajasol in the presence of its President, Antonio Pulido Gutiérrez. The exhibition’s next stop will be Palma de Mallorca, before it continues to the Central Library of Santander, and then concludes in Barcelona this autumn. The exhibition highlights the longstanding political, diplomatic, cultural and scientific ties between the two nations through a collection of archival documents, artworks and historical artefacts.
Princess Stephanie attends Queen Tribute during Fight Aids Gala
Princess Stephanie, accompanied by Louis and Marie Ducruet, and Camille Gottlieb, attended the Fight Aids Monaco Gala at the Salle des Etoiles on 11 July. The evening paid tribute to Queen’s greatest hits.
Nearly 600 guests attended the dinner show, with tickets priced at €260. The raffle had twelve prizes, including a Fiat Topolino, a Cartier bracelet and ring, a two-night stay at the Hôtel de Paris with dinner at the Grill, a pass to the Thermes Marins, and artwork by Jordane Saget and Mr OneTeas.
Since its creation in 2004, Fight Aids Monaco has been working to support people living with HIV by providing respites, organising prevention initiatives, including free and anonymous HIV testing for the general public, and supporting projects providing care, prevention and education abroad.
