The Princess of Hanover, Charlotte Casiraghi, and Mélanie-Antoinette de Massy attended the Pro-Am Cup during the Longines International Jumping Competition at the Port Hercule on 3 July. The competition, founded by Charlotte Casiraghi, pairs amateur riders with professional competitors in a unique team event. Princess Caroline and Charlotte Casiraghi presented the prizes to the winners: a father and daughter team made up of Lisa and Emanuele Gaudiano. The charity event raised €20,000 for AMADE.

Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene lead Scientific Expedition to Greenland

The Princely Couple led the “Greenland Advocacy and Scientific Expedition”, launched by the Monaco Institute of Ocean Sciences on 1 July 2026. The initiative aimed to bring together scientific research, environmental advocacy, and international cooperation.

Before voyaging to Greenland, the expedition made a stop on Iceland’s west coast to pay tribute to legendary French polar explorer, Captain Jean-Baptiste Charcot, whose research vessel Pourquoi-Pas? was lost in the region ninety years ago. Charcot died aboard the vessel when it was wrecked off the coast of Iceland on 16 September 1936.

Prince Albert II, Princess Charlene, former President of Iceland Ólafur Ragnar Grímsson, and Anne Manipoud-Charcot, the explorer’s great-granddaughter attended Charcot’s tribute ceremony. The ceremony also celebrated the historic relationship between Captain Charcot and Prince Albert I of Monaco, two pioneers united by a shared passion for oceanography and scientific discovery.

Ballets de Monte-Carlo pays Tribute to Princess Caroline during 40th Anniversary Gala

The Princess of Hanover and her daughters, Charlotte Casiraghi and Princess Alexandra, attended the Ballets de Monte-Carlo’s 40th anniversary gala at the Grimaldi Forum on 4 July 2026. The gala evening was a tribute to Princess Caroline, who founded the company in 1985. The evening revisited the company’s history with a performance of its iconic production of Roméo et Juliette, choreographed by Jean-Christophe Maillot. The evening featured former dancers from the company.

Princess Caroline opens Victor Brauner Exhibition

The Princess of Hanover attended the opening of the “Victor Brauner: The Magical Adventure” exhibition at Villa Paloma on 1 July, accompanied by Charlotte Casiraghi, Princess Alexandra and Ben Sylvester Strautmann. The exhibition features more than 160 works by the artist, including paintings, drawings, and sculptures spanning from the 1920s to the 1960s. It also includes ten artworks collected by Victor Brauner, on loan from the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Saint-Étienne Métropole.

Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene visit Police Directorate after Explosion in Monaco

The Princely Couple visited the Directorate of Public Security, where they attended an operational briefing on 30 June. They were accompanied by Christophe Mirmand, Minister of State, Samuel Vuelta Simon, Secretary of State for Justice, and Lionel Beffre, Government Counsellor.

Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene then travelled to the Fire and Rescue Barracks, where they were welcomed by Colonel Tony Varo and Colonel Maxime Yvrard. The Prince and Princess also met with the emergency response teams.

On 29 June 2026, an explosion occurred at the entrance to a residential building on Rue Révérend-Père-Louis-Frolla in Monaco, injuring three people, including two adults who were reported to be in critical condition and a 13-year-old child. According to initial reports, the explosion was caused by an improvised explosive device allegedly placed inside a backpack left at the scene by an unidentified suspect.

Princely Family inaugurates Monaco-themed Section of Europa-Park in Germany

Prince Albert II, Princess Charlene, Prince Jacques, Princess Gabriella, and Princess Stephanie attended the inauguration of Europa-Parks Monaco-themed area in Rust on 29 June. Inspired by the legendary atmosphere of the Monaco Grand Prix, the parks 18th European-themed area showcases replicas of Monaco’s iconic architecture and even includes a “Place Grimaldi”. At the invitation of the Mack family, owners of Europa-Park, nearly 250 guests attended the inauguration, including many French celebrities.

Charlotte Casiraghi attends PhiloMonaco Prize Ceremony

Charlotte Casiraghi, President of the Monaco Philosophical Meetings, attended the ceremony for the 10th PhiloMonaco Prize at the Princess Grace Theatre on 26 June 2026. The Monaco Philosophical Meetings, also known as PhiloMonaco, celebrates philosophy, literature and the arts.

This years Best Essay winner was French author Estelle Ferrarese for her essay Une philosophie des sanglots (A Philosophy of Sobs). The Publishers Prize was awarded to Éditions Jérôme Millon, and the 2026 High School StudentsPrize was awarded to two students from FANB and Lycée Albert Ier. The event also featured a special performance created with the Ballets de Monte-Carlo.
