Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene attend Restored Film Screening of Grace Kelly and Rainier III’s Wedding
Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene attended a screening of the restored version of the Le Mariage de Monaco (‘The Wedding of Monaco’) at the Prince’s Palace on 20 July 2026. Jean Masson’s 1956 film was shown on a big screen in the Courtyard of Honour in front of an audience of 450 people.
The restored version of the film contains never-before-seen footage of the day Grace Kelly married Rainier III and became a princess, on 19 April 1956. The footage was shot by Jean Masson, who made a half-hour film that was screened in cinemas for two years, from 1956 to 1958. Reels and raw footage of the film were found in old boxes in the projection room that Princess Grace had set up inside the palace.

Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene attended the glamorous 77th Red Cross Gala in the Salle des Étoiles at the Sporting Monte-Carlo on 18 July 2026. Camille Gottlieb was also in attendance.
The fundraising event began with a dinner created by three-Michelin-starred chef Marcel Ravin and prepared by Thierry Saez Manzanares. The gala featured the premiere of SOUL! Where legends come back, produced by the Société des Bains de Mer. Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene are the President and Vice President of the Monaco Red Cross.
Prince Albert II and Will Smith attend E1 Series Monaco
The Sovereign attended the final day of E1 Monaco alongside American actor, Will Smith, and basketball player, Kyle Kuzma, both owners of participating teams, on 18 July 2026. The E1 Series is the first world championship for all-electric racing boats. The championship takes place in eight cities, with teams competing in Monaco for the fourth round of the championship. Prince Albert II attended the regatta as a representative of Team Monaco. Will Smith is the owner of the Westbrook Racing by Visit Angola team, while NBA basketball player, Kyle Kuzma, co-owns the Sierra Racing Club team with Belgian footballer, Thibaut Courtois. Each team consists of two drivers, a man and a woman. The Monaco race concluded with a victory for Team Drogba Global Africa, owned by footballer Didier Drogba. Monaco’s and Will Smith’s teams finished in 7th and 8th place, respectively.
Camille Gottlieb’s Be Safe joins forces with SBM this Summer to Stop Drunk-Driving
The Be Safe association, chaired by Camille Gottlieb, and the Société des Bains de Mer have teamed up for the third consecutive summer to ensure safe transportation for people consuming alcohol.
SBM drivers are available until 31 August to operate the Be Safe electric shuttles that transport patrons of Monaco’s nightlife establishments home safely. The free service is available from Wednesdays to Sundays, from midnight to 5:30 am. Following a successful initial partnership in the summer of 2024 which provided safe transportation for 355 people, the partnership was renewed last year and helped 376 get home safely.
