This weekend is the final day of the International musical fireworks competition organized by the Mairie de Monaco on Saturday 22 July at 9.30 pm, Port Hercule and Port de Monaco. After France, Austria, USA it’s the turn of the last finalist, team Australia.
First introduced by Monaco’s Town Hall in 1966, the International Pyromelodic Firework Competition is a must-see contest that takes place every summer, with 2 shows in July and 2 more in August, lighting up Monaco’s sky at every show.
Ever since its 31st edition, in 1996, this pyrotechnical contest has become pyromelodic, with rhythm and melody going hand in hand during shows.
But stay in the Port de Monaco a little longer after the fireworks end, as at 10 p. m. you’ll enjoy “Les Musicales” – Tribute to Cold Play”, organised by Monaco City Hall. Launched in the summer of 2004, these free evenings organized by the Animation Department of the City Hall of Monaco meet constant success, in a festive and warm atmosphere, with a mixed public of residents and locals at each concert.
