50m Heesen Project Ayla sold

Scheduled for delivery in 2018, the 50-meter, all aluminium Project Ayala has now been sold with Abberley Luxury Yachts introducing the buyer.

Built with maximum weight reduction in mind, Ayla features a hard-chine hull, elaborated according to Heesen’s patented technology, and two optimal power-to-weight ratio MTU 3,860hp engines. This combination of power efficiency and weight under 500 GT, which is relatively low for this size category, enables the yacht to reach a top speed of 23 knots and have a long range of 3,100 nautical miles at 11 knots.

The 46.3-meter Baglietto, Only One is now back on the market with her owner keen to sell her before the end of the year according to its central agent, M Blue Yachts. Built in 2015, she’s now on the market asking €19 million.

In March Yacht Harbour reported on the 48-meter Elsa running ashore in Ladder Bay in Saba. Since she officially was declared lost, the salvage operation, involving the experts and authorities, gave place to the removal of her wreckage. This was completed successfully and with the least damage caused to the surrounding area in July, according to a statement, delivered by Saba Public Entity.
