Applause for the Five Padel Cup: the Unstoppable Tsunami Roared through Monaco and Eze

A big round of applause for the FIVE PADEL CUP just finished after its April 17th to 19th three-day run in Monaco and also in the heart of the beautiful village of Eze.

Padel is like a tsunami… nothing can stop the growing attraction of the sport… and the Principality helped shine the light on this first edition of the FIVE PADEL CUP, including an exclusive and inclusive tournament-event dedicated to padel, using the courts and facilities of the Eze tennis/padel club.

Monaco and its surroundings were chosen to host this first edition, its setting being so advantageous and conducive to the development of sport.

The Barbagiuans

The Barbagiuans of Monaco, were represented by Gaël Givet with Sébastien Squillaci (team 1), Manuel Vallaurio and Jordan Klein (team 2).

“President” Louis Ducruet also visited the site of the tennis/padel club of EZE, in order to support the event and the Barbagiuans training.

As planned, funds were donated to FIGHT AIDS MONACO, the association fighting against HIV, led by H.S.H. Princess Stéphanie.

Hervé Aeschbach, coordinator of FIGHT AIDS MONACO expressed gratitude: “We are very grateful to the organizers for their warm welcome and financial support to FIGHT AIDS MONACO. The fight led by H.S.H. Princess Stéphanie, under the aegis of the association, has found a new anchor in the sports world. We are delighted. Special thanks go to CEO Roberta Ceccarelli and the entire BSG SRL company, who initiated this magnificent event.”

Responsible for international relations for the Event, Antonella Lanfranco expressed delight with the quality of this first edition. 

“We are very satisfied with this FIVE PADEL CUP. The conviviality was there, in an exceptional sporting framework. All the elements were gathered to make a great event and, together, organizers, players, partners, sponsors… we took up the challenge. The feedback from the participants is unanimous, they are ready to come back! The mission is accomplished.”

The organizers have finally announced that an international padel exhibition, named PADEL BEST EXPO, will be on the program for next year, still in Monaco…
