9 Million Euros raised at Only Watch Auction

The seventh Only Watch auction took place in November in Geneva and raised 9,289,500 euros for Duchenne muscular dystrophy research. 50 unique watches were sold to buyers from 45 different countries.

Prince Albert II, long-time supporter of the cause, was present at the sale and dedicated the event to the memory of Paul Pettavino, who passed away from the disease one year ago. The Prince gave an inspiring speech at the event, saying that thanks to funds raised by Only Watch over the past decade, researchers are getting closer to helping thousands of children, adolescents and young adults affected by the disease.

Prince Albert II announces World Champion Participants for Herculis 2018

The 2018 edition of the Monegasque athletic event will be held on 20 July at the Louis II stadium. Prince Albert II announced that pole vaulting world champions Katerina Stefanidi and Qatari Mutaz Essa Barshim will participate in next year’s Herculis event. The announcement was made during a cocktail party celebrating the success of last year’s meet, which was also the last victory for Usain Bolt.

Prince Albert and Princess Charlene attend World Rugby Awards

On Sunday 26 November, HSH Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene attended the World Rugby Awards. Athletes, teams and coaches in the world of rugby were awarded during the ceremony.
