Monaco’s City Hall recently addressed the population’s surprise when Christmas lights began being installed all over Monaco in early October. Halloween is still weeks away and yet, Christmas decor is already being strung up? But not without a good reason…
“Is this really the installation of Christmas lights that we see in the streets of the Principality? Every year in October, the population is always surprised. Indeed, installing Christmas decorations is a major event, requiring meticulous work on the part of the electricians of the City’s Animation Service… and this year is no exception!” states a recent press release by Monaco’s City Hall.
Swim, Swim, Swim! Monaco’s Saint-Charles Reopens with a Splash of Upgrades
After a brief closure for essential upgrades, the Saint-Charles Swimming Pool in Monaco is set to welcome back swimmers on October 21, 2024. The facility, which underwent several months of technical work, is now equipped with new systems designed to enhance user comfort, including an advanced heat pump to quickly warm the water for baby swim classes. This marks the pool’s second significant improvement in just over a year, following a major renovation completed in mid-2023.
Swimmers can once again enjoy a range of activities, from intense Aqua Power and Aqua Trampo sessions to more relaxing Aqua Relax classes. Young swimmers, aged six and up, can dive into fun with Aqua Mermaid and Aqua Dolphin courses, which remain crowd favorites.
Bonjour, D.C.! United Airlines Brings Monaco to Washington
In 2025, United Airlines will enhance transatlantic travel by introducing a new seasonal air route between Nice and Washington D.C. expanding US travel for Monaco and Riviera residents. This marks a significant expansion for United, which already operates direct flights from Nice to New York, making it one of the few airlines serving Monaco and the Côte d’Azur with U.S. destinations outside of the Paris hub.
