This year’s tournament took place from behind closed doors, in accordance with the latest government measures which extend the state of health emergency until June 1st, 2021. The top 5 men in the world have all signed up to battle it out: Novak Djokovic, Daniil Medvedev, Rafael Nadal, Dominic Thiem and Stefanos Tsisipas. Add to that two players, Fabio Fognini (2019) and Stan Wawrinka (2014), who have won it in the past and you have a gladiator arena any tennis sponsor would die for.
