Princess Charlene Foundation participates in World Drowning Prevention Day

World Drowning Prevention Day was first launched in 2021 by the United Nations and takes place every year on 25 July. For the important day, the Princess Charlene foundation organized an event at the Stade Nautique Rainier III to raise awareness about the dangers of drowning in partnership with the Town Hall, the Monegasque Red Cross, the Monaco Maritime and Airport Police Division, the Monaco Fire Brigade and the Monegasque Academy of the Sea.

During the event, stands were held at the entrance to the swimming pool by the partners of the event. Every hour from 2 pm until 6 pm, water rescue demonstrations were carried out in the swimming pool by lifeguards. Throughout the day, 143 children attended the free workshops.
