Summer is a highly anticipated time for our children. We do want their holidays to be the most extraordinary and motivating in order to inspire further achievements in the new academic year. The HelloMonaco team has compiled a selection of the best programs and places in and outside of the Principality for children of different ages, combining sports, fun and education.

Larvotto Mini Club

Summer 2019: activities for children in and around Monaco

All through the summer Mini-club du Larvotto is hosting children aged 3 to 12 offering them a variety of sports, relay races and original competitions. Half-day or full day programs run from 8am till 6pm; food options are available. The club is managed by the Municipal Council Social Action Service.

Registration is open for the Monegasques until May 10, for Monaco residents and Municipal staff from May 13 to 31, and for non-residents –starting from June 3.

Children’s Club at the Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort

Making Brazilian bracelets with your own hands or giving life to clay, mastering the basics of gymnastics or cooking? The children’s club of Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort is open in July and August for kids aged from 3 to 12, introducing them to a variety of activities from a very early age. Prices vary depending on the length of stay.

A whole day, from 11am to 7pm, for children aged 6 to 12 will cost 50 euros. Lunch at the L’Orange Verte restaurant and an afternoon snack are included.

A half day from 2.30pm to 7 pm, for children aged 3 to 12 will cost 35 euros, an afternoon snack included.

Preliminary booking is required for children under 6.

Parents need to pack a kid’s swimsuit, sunscreen, hat and sunglasses.

The kids club is open not only for the hotel guests, but also for Monaco residents.

Monaco Yacht Club

All through the school holidays, the YCM Sports Section is holding sailing courses for children aged 6 to 15, combining fun and education (in the water and on the water). Its main purpose is introducing children to sailing and the “marine” terminology.

The Calendar:

1-week summer camp, July 8-12, 9:30 to 17:00, price 480 euros;

1-week summer camp, July 15-19, 9:30 to 17:00, price 480 euros;

1 week sailing course, July 22 to 26, 9:30 to 12:00 or 14 :30 to 17:00, price 240 euros;

1-week summer camp, July 26 to August 2, 9:30 to 17:00, price 480 euros;

A Seadventures cruise week July 26 to August 2, price 950 euros;

1-week summer camp August 5 to 9, 9:30 to 17:00, price 480 euros;

1-week summer camp August 12 to 16, 9:30 to 17:00, price 480 euros;

1 week sailing course August 19 to 23, 9:30 to 12:00 or 14:30 to 17:00, price 240 euros.

Art lessons at Villa Paloma and Villa Sober

This summer, two Sundays a month, the NMNM is open for some family workshops!

Villa Paloma:

June 2 and 30, July 28, August 18, September 15 and October 13 at 3pm, works by Michel Blazy are installed for your contemplation in the Villa Paloma gardens. After a short botanical tour, discover the exclusive museum shoe collection.

Villa Sober:

May 19, June 16, July 14, August 4, September 1 and 29 at 3pm, go treasure hunting in the Villa gardens and get acquainted with the works of Claire Fontaine, Jeppe Hein, David Horvitz, Bertrand Lavier and Christodoulos Panayiotou.

Family seminars are free of charge, subject to availability.

Duration: 45 minutes

Children aged 7-12 need to be accompanied by an adult.

Cap d’Ail Football Internship

The USCA Football, the Cap d’Ail Sports Community, is offering intensive football training for children aged 6 to 13. For French residents, they will be held from July 6 to September 3, 2019. For Monegasques, June 29 to early September 2019. The classes feature both methodology and practical training.

Grimaldi Forum Art workshops

Every session (25 children per group maximum) features an exciting tour of the “Dali History of Art” by an art historian and an art workshop designed to develop your child’s creativity. Opening days:  July 8 to 26, 2019.

A lesson in art, including an exhibition tour, costs 20 euros per child. You may also choose a 5-day package, including an exhibition tour and art classes at a price of 95 euros.

Cap d’Ail watersports

The Cap d’Ail Aquatic Centre offers a variety of weekly summer trainings for children of different ages. Children aged 7 to 11 may enjoy a selection of morning and afternoon sailing lessons on board the Optimist boats at a price starting from 150 euros per course. A 10% discount will be offered if you book a 2-week package. Children aged 10+ may be introduced to windsurfing practice at a price 150 euros. Children aged 12+ may try their hand at navigating a catamaran (2-3 students per group), analysing the weather and doing a direct water practice. Price – 170 euros.

Cap d’Ail Tennis classes

The Cap d’Ail Tennis Club is launching a series of tennis summer internships starting from July 1 to August 30, 2019. 5 options are available.

5 mornings a week from 9:00 to 12:00 (Monday from 9:30 to 12:30) including one and a half hours of tennis and team sports practice. Price for Cap d’Ail residents – 140 euros, for non-residents -150 euros.

5 days a week from 9:00 to 17:30 (Monday from 9:30 to 17:30) including one and a half hours of tennis and team sports practice, food and snacks, at a price of 200/210 euros, depending on the child’s residence.

A 5-day intensive course from 9:00 to 17:30 (Monday from 9:30 to 17:30) including a 1h30 morning and a 1h30 afternoon tennis practice, team sports, food and snacks. Price: 240/250 euros.

A combined 5-day tennis and sailing practice from 9:00 to 17:30 (Monday from 9:30 to 17:30). This is a 1h30 tennis practice in the morning, 2-hour sailing practice in the afternoon, team sports, meals and snacks. Monaco Cinemas

You will hardly find a child who doesn’t like going to the cinema. Watching your favorite cartoons in an outdoor cinema is still more special. The Monaco Open Air Cinema (Terrasses du Parking des Pêcheurs Avenue de la Quarantaine) and the Princess Grace Theater (Théatre Princesse Grace, 12 avenue d’Ostende) are offering you an exciting program, featuring family films this month, including “Royal Corgi”, “ALADDIN”, “TOY STORY 4”and much more.
