For a bit of background to these events, the “TED Talks” are short and powerful talks that share an idea, lasting about 18 minutes. Every second, 17 “TED Talks” are viewed on www.ted.com in over 100 languages. TEDxMonteCarlo is an independent event that is based on TED, the original talk series. TED was established in 1984 and has since become a global phenomenon. According to The New Yorker, “TED has created a sophisticated, popular, lucrative, socially conscious and wildly widespread product.”

TEDxMonteCarlo’s mission is to connect the community, inspire innovation and foster new ideas for everyone. Their goal is to bring together thinkers, dreamers and visionaries. Monaco, led by one of the oldest monarchies in Europe, is the home of more than 130 nationalities and leads the world in the exploration of renewable energies, while being a pioneer in environmental research oceans, carbon neutrality and sustainability. As Monaco is a leader in innovation and desire to improve the world, it’s a fitting stage for this talk series.
