Magical Christmas Moments: Princely Family kick-off Holiday Celebrations
Prince Albert II, Princess Charlene and their children, Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella signalled the start of the holiday season on 30 November as they watched the season’s first light show on the Place du Casino. Stephane Valeri, President of the Société des Bains de Mer (SBM), Didier Guillaume, Minister of State, and many other Monegasque personalities also attended the ceremony.
“At precisely 6:36 p.m. on Saturday evening, the magic began on the Place du Casino, with a cascading illumination of the historic heart of Monaco, under the eyes of the Princely Family, guests of the SBM and passers-by,” states a recent press release by the SBM.

Laughs, Lights, and Lifetime Achievements: The 21st Monte-Carlo Film Festival of Comedy Ends on a High Note
The 21st Monte-Carlo Film Festival of Comedy wrapped up with a resounding celebration of humour and cinematic brilliance. The event, which ran from November 27 to 30, 2024, was hosted at the Grimaldi Forum and welcomed an eclectic mix of international films, prestigious guests, and, of course, laughter.
This year’s competition showcased eight standout comedies, including Universal Language and Humanist Vampire Seeking Consenting Suicidal Person, which garnered praise for their unique approaches to storytelling. Among the festival’s highlights was the gala evening, hosted by the festival’s founder, Ezio Greggio, where legendary filmmaker Giuseppe Tornatore received a Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions to cinema, including the iconic Cinema Paradiso.
Monte-Carlo Gastronomy Festival was a Mouth-Watering Journey!
The 27th Monte-Carlo Gastronomy Festival was a mouth-watering culinary journey that took place from 29 November-2 December at the Chapiteau de Monaco. The trade fair brought in lovers of local products and was a unique opportunity for visitors to experience new flavours and get inspired for the holidays. On the menu were products from French, Italian and European regions, demonstrations, tastings and competitions. Foie gras, truffles, caviar, chocolate, pastries, cheeses, cured meats and organic products from more than 100 producers were sampled and enjoyed.
“For many years, this appetizing trade fair has built its success not only on the quality of the products presented from a rigorous selection of exhibitors, but also on the diversity and importance of its events. It allows visitors to buy a variety of products just a few days before the end-of-year celebrations,” states a recent press release by the Monte-Carlo Gastronomy Festival.
Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene officially inaugurate New Moods
The highly anticipated New Moods was officially inaugurated by the Princely Couple on 30 November. The Prince and Princess were accompanied by Stephane Valeri, President of the SBM and Didier Guillaume, Minister of State, Thomas Brezzo, President of the National Council and Georges Marsan, Mayor of Monaco.
The new establishment will open to the public on 5 December.
