Today is the start of Formula-1, one of the most significant and symbolic events for Monaco. Thousands of tourists from all over the world come to the Principality to see the legendary race. Heracles has terraces on its different floors and the roof top terrace. The guests thus have an exceptional opportunity to watch the start line of the Formula-1. This is a wonderful view of the Sainte Devote turn, the Formula-1 slope, the exit from the tunnel, the port with its snow-white yachts and the famous Rascasse turn. The Heracles terraces are also home to the Royal Box where most award ceremonies are traditionally held.
The Caravelle residence has the most favourable position with a view of the Sainte Devote turn. Here you can easily see the slope of the Formula-1 track, the huge screen, the exit from the tunnel and the Rascasse turn. These terraces offer an 80% view of the total track. Caravelle is one of the most sought-after places among the connoisseurs.
The Beau Rivage terrace on Avenue d’Ostende offers one of the best views of the race. That’s where you can see the drivers bring their cars to the ultimate speed and overtake their rivals, which is a very difficult task elsewhere on the track. From here, you can clearly see the start/finish line, Sainte Devote turn, the huge screen on the Avenue d’Ostende and the Rascasse turn.
The guests can also enjoy the harborur view with the most luxurious yachts all coming to Monaco to watch the competitions. The Beau Rivage will surely give you an unforgettable impression of the cars racing unbelievably close to the terrace.
The Panorama is located at the corner of Sainte-Devote and offers breathtaking views of this legendary part of the route, the port and the casino. The two terraces on the 12th and 16th floors are open to the public. They offer a view of the Sainte-Devote turn, the Casino road, the famous chicane in the port and the pool side entrance.
Today most of these terraces are likely booked, but you can try your luck and find a place through their managing agencies.
During the Formula 1, many cafes and restaurants located in close proximity to the track are also renting out their terraces. Surely, they will give you a much different feel of the Formula-1, but guests are also offered an entertainment programme and a huge selection of gastronomic delights. La Rascasse is an ideal place to watch the race cars fly over the Rascasse turn. The famous La Maree restaurant is located just on the rise of the Casino road, on Avenue d’Ostende. This year, on top of the racing cars’ roar and the best view of the bay, on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday mornings guests are also offered champagne, exquisite dishes by the chef and an opportunity to chat to and take photos with the Formula-1 racers. Cafe de Paris
A Breakfast at Cafe de Paris with a view of the Casino Square is a special occasion on any day. The most speedy racing cars driven by their legendary drivers just a few steps away from your table will make your morning even more exceptional. During the race, Cafe de Paris will offer a three-course menu for the price of 90 euros for adults and 45 euros for children.
On Saturday, it is hosting the Grand Prix buffet at a price of 170 euros for adults and 85 euros for children.
