The steering committee bringing together the Scientific Center of Monaco (CSM) and the CHANEL company held a meeting in the presence of Princess Caroline of Hanover at the Auditorium Rainier III in Monaco. The objective of the research unit is to develop basic research programs to better understand certain key life processes of precious red coral in order to protect this species.
This research unit was created on September 27, 2019. Since then, it has been offering innovative solutions to help the conservation of this species. The Scientific Centre of Monaco is a Monegasque public establishment founded by Prince Rainier III in 1960 to provide the Principality of Monaco with the means to conduct scientific research.
