The Sovereign followed in his ancestors’ footsteps and travelled to Guiscard to unveil a Grimaldi Historic Sites plaque on October 18. Prince Albert II was welcomed by Mayor Thibault Delavenne, who spoke about the centuries-old ties between the two territories dating back to the marriage of Honoré IV to Louise d’Aumont-Mazarin in 1777.

The Prince then visited the Château de Chantilly, where Xavier Darcos received the Prince for the inauguration of the exhibition “From Monaco to Chantilly”. Dedicated to Marie Catherine de Brignole-Sale, Princess of Monaco in the 18th century, the exhibition is the result of a collaboration between the Prince’s Palace archives and the Musée Condé. The exhibition runs until January 4, 2026.

Euro Coins to feature New Image of Prince Albert II

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the reign of Prince Albert II, his image will be featured on the 1 and 2 euro coins, bearing the date 2025. The new coins will be put into circulation in the Principality of Monaco at the end of October, by the General Treasury of Finance. The new portrait of the Sovereign is facing forward and accompanied by his crowned monogram. Coins featuring the Prince’s profile appeared since 2005.

Princess Charlene honours Special Olympics pioneer, Mireille Calmes

Princess Charlene met with athletes and representatives of the Special Olympics during a renaming ceremony of the Louis II Stadium, now known as the Mireille Calmes Gymnasium, on October 18. Princess Charlene, accompanied by Minister of State, Christophe Mirmand, and Pierre Van Klaveren, current president of the Special Olympics Monaco, unveiled a commemorative plaque paying tribute to Mireille Calmes. In 1984, she founded the Monaco branch of Special Olympics and led the organization for 34 years. Special Olympics Monaco also athletes attended the ceremony. Princess Charlene has been the organization’s honorary president since 2012.

Prince Albert II unveils E1’s Team Monaco

The Team Monaco racing boat was officially unveiled by Prince Albert II during the 36th Sportel Awards at the Grimaldi Forum on October 20. Starting in January 2026, the Principality will join the electric boat UIM E1 world championship. The initiative is supported by the Prince Albert II Foundation for Ocean Regeneration and the Princess Charlene Foundation. The E1 is the first all-electric racing boat championship, broadcast in over 140 territories. In 2026, Team Monaco will compete with the teams of basketball player LeBron James, tennis player Rafael Nadal, and American football player Tom Brady.

Princess Stephanie Documentary broadcast on TF1

The magazine 50′ Inside broadcast the “Portrait of Princess Stephanie” documentary on TF1 on October 18. The film tells the story of a pop icon, committed woman, devoted mother, circus-lover, and kind-hearted rebel, through archives and testimonies. Celebrity journalists, including Catherine Schwaab, spoke about the free and authentic Princess. The film is available to rewatch on TF1+ and on YouTube.

Prince Albert II supports Chocolate Fundraiser “Chokolashow”

The Sovereign attended and sponsored the 2nd Chokolashow at Le Méridien Beach Plaza on October 13 and 14. The event raised 9,300 euros for nine Monegasque charities. Eight works of art, featuring a nautical theme, were engraved on chocolate canvases created by international artists. Prince Albert II received a three-dimensional painting by artist Giorgia Tessarollo during the event. He also signed a chocolate bar suspended in resin by the Caffaro Rore jeweler, which contained nearly four carats of diamonds.Tony Belfatto won the Audience Choice Award. The 2026 edition will pay tribute to the Grimaldi dynasty and will feature a portrait of Prince Albert II by Marcos Marín, which was showcased at the fundraiser. Organized by the Monaco International Hub Association, led by journalist Maria Bologna, the charitable event will benefit nine local organizations.

Prince Albert II presents the Planetary Health Awards in London

The Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation held the 18th edition Planetary Health Awards on October 17 in London, in the presence of Prince Albert II. Three winners were recognized for their environmental work. The International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB), chaired by Emmanuel Faber, received the Awareness Award for establishing international standards for measuring the environmental impact of companies.

The Science Award went to Dr. Gavin A. Schmidt, director of NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies. The British climatologist based in New York has published more than 170 articles, developed tools for understanding climate and works to make science more accessible to the general public. Ernst Götsch received the Innovation Award for his work on “syntropic agriculture”. This Swiss agronomist transformed degraded land in Brazil into productive ecosystems, without chemicals.

Princess Caroline attends Soupe de Nuit Charity Concert

The Princess of Hanover attended a concert by the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Philippe Bender, at the Rainier III Auditorium on October 16. The concert collected funds for Soupe de Nuit Monaco, which serves meals to homeless people every Thursday in the streets of Nice and Menton. Princess Caroline also attended the event last year, which raised between 15,000 and 20,000 euros.

Princess Caroline Attends the Friends of the Museum Dinner in Paris

The Princess of Hanover attended the “Amis du Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris” dinner in Paris on October 21, along with 950 other guests, including American artist George Condo. The Princess of Hanover’s former son-in-law Dimitri Rassam was also in attendance. The event helps the modern art museum organize exhibitions and acquire new artworks. This year, the association is celebrating its 50th anniversary.
