Princess Charlene attends 10th Sainte Devote Rugby Tournament and other princely news

Princess Charlene, Prince Albert II and their children attended the opening ceremony of the 10th Sainte Devote rugby tournament, organized in partnership with the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation. After last week’s E-Prix, this was the princess’s second official outing after her extended absence due to health issues.


The international U-12 rugby sevens tournament brings together 16 teams from 14 countries onto the Stade Louis II pitch. Alongside the competition, the ‘Rugby for all’ association offered courses adapted for children and young adults with disabilities. The Monegasque team was awarded the Sainte Devote trophy, after winning the match between the Monegasque Rugby Federation and Lucciana Rugby Club. Princess Charlene congratulated all the participants of the international tournament.

Prince inaugurates Monaco’s New Security Headquarters

Prince Albert II recently inaugurated the new headquarters for Monaco’s Protection, Surveillance and Intervention Group (GPSI) in the Annonciade district. Villa Marcelle, a three-storey building with a total surface area of 230 m2 employs twenty-nine men who work for the security of the Principality, with the Sovereign as the group’s honorary commander.

Prince Albert II had a tour of the new premises, which is complete with changing rooms, a gym, kitchen area, an office and a storage room for equipment and weapons ranging from non-lethal guns to assault rifles and a special machine for sweeping mines. Members of the GPSI are all prepared to be ready for deployment as part of RAID operations and are specially trained by doctors from the Princess Grace Hospital Centre to give first aid to civilians.

Viral Video creator GMK interviews Prince Albert II

GMK, a Monegasque resident and YouTuber with 1.53 million subscribers, interviewed Prince Albert II on Wednesday on the Place du Palais for a thrilling video about cars and Monaco. Georges Maroun Kikano (GMK) was dubbed the new ambassador of the Top Marques Show, taking place from 9 to 12 June at the Grimaldi Forum.

Before the interview, GMK revealed his deep respect for the Prince as flocks of tourists watched from the gates of the palace. The finished video will be released in the near future on GMK’s youtube channel and will put a spotlight on Monaco and its love of cars.

Chanel Cruise Show attended by Princess Caroline, Charlotte Casiraghi and Pauline Ducruet

Princess Caroline of Hanover, Charlotte Casiraghi, Pauline Ducruet and Tatiana Santo Domingo were at the Chanel Cruise 2023 show in Monaco on 5 May. Charlotte Casiraghi is the brand ambassador and spokesperson for the Chanel fashion house. Inspired by the cosmopolitan beach lifestyle of Monte-Carlo and Chanel’s history in the Côte d’Azur, the fashion show took place on Monaco’s beach and revealed a collection combining beachside sportswear and modern glamour.
